StepI. Warm up and Greeting 1.

Greet the class. 2.

Show some pictures about insects and watch a video about

the spring. StepII. Lead-in T: The spring is coming. The weather become warmer and warmer. Plants and animals are waking up. It’s the start of new life. So Li Wei’s class went on a science field trip last week.

They saw many insects from the science field trip. Today, let’s go and see what they learned from the science field trip. This period, we are going to learn Unit4

We went on a science field trip. StepII. Presentation 1.

Teaching the new words By PPT First, go through four pictures about insects. We’ll learn four kinds of insects in English. They are butterfly, bee, ant, moth. Get students read the new words one by one, then get students to read the words one by one. 2.

Let’s play a game: Name of the group.

Divide the whole class into four groups, give each group a name of insects . When the teacher call the name, students stand

up,then read and spell the words. ⑴The teacher will use PPT again to teach the new words: silk, honey. Get students to read the new words after the teacher. Then read the new words one by one. ⑵Let’s play another game: Let’s find the cards.

Ask two students come to the front. One student try to hide the card, the other try to find the card. The other students read the words( voice from low to high). (3)

Have a quick test. Let’s have a test to see who has magic eyes. Get students to read the words after the pictures. StepIII.Target Language 1.

Using a picture to lead students to learn the target language. Show the target language: ---What did you learn? ---We learned that bees can make honey. 2.

A game : low VS high When the teacher whispers, the students read aloud. When the students whisper, the teacher read aloud. 3.

Get students to do pair work Get students to work in pairs, then ask some pairs to act out the dialogue.

StepIV. Summary Go through the key words and target language again. Ask some students to spell the key words and recite the dialogue. StepV. Homework 1.

Copy the key words. 2.

Try to recite the target language.
