一,Teaching aims:

1,To enable the students to master the words, phrases and sentences: spring, summer, autumn, winter, wet, dry, hot, cool, warm, cold, rainy.

2, To review the words and phrases and sentences:January, February,March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December,

3, To enable the students use the sentences patterns to express:

After summer comes autumn. Its weather is cool and dry.

After autumn comes winter. Its weather is wet and cold.

After winter comes spring. Its weather is warm and rainy.

1, To master the phrases: spring, summer, autumn, winter, wet, dry, hot, cool, warm, cold, rainy.

2,To master the sentences: After spring comes summer. Its weather is hot and dry.

三,Teaching difficulty:

1, the pronunciation of these words: “spring, summer, autumn, winter, wet, dry, hot, cool, warm, cold, rainy.”

2, the differences between “ Its ” and “ It is”

3, the sentences pattern “ After ....comes.... Its weather is...and... .”

六、Teaching procedure:

1,Warm-up:

T start the player, listen to an English song n amed“ if you are happy ”. Students dance to the music.

T: Good morning boys and girls! (waving the right hand)

S: Good morning, teacher!(waving the right hand)

T: Nice to meet you!(using the two hands)

S: Nice to meet you,too!(using the two hands)

2,Review

Let’s play a game. “What’s missing?” T show pictures of months from January to December. Then T will hide one picture, let the Ss find what it is. Eg: T will hide “May’’,let Ss try to find May is missing by themselves; T will hide “December”,let Ss to find it. Then read all the words together.

3,Presentation

At first, T introduce a game“Let’s be the winner!”There are three steps in total. 1)The first step:

a, From February to April, we call it ...Ss can put up their hands to answer the question. It’s “spring”.

T:spring Ss:spring spring T:listen, spring Ss:spring T:spring Ss:spring spring T:spring Ss:spring spring spring....

T:spring(in a loud voice) Ss:spring(in a low voice)

T:Boys:spring spring Girls:spring spring....

T will use different methods to learn these words: summer/autumn/winter/wet/dry... Methods like: loud/low voice; traffic lights; stand up; Simon says; pass the word; little teacher;Phonics.......

2)The second step:

Learning words by asking two questions:How is the weather? What can you do?

For example, T:In spring, how is the weather?

Ss:......(students can answer the question in Chinese)

T:It’s warm and rainy.

T:“warm”Ss:warm warm

T:warm (using the left hand) boys:warm

T:warm(using the right hand) girls:warm

T:Now, please stand up.

T:warm (using the left hand) boys:(stand up)warm

Students will learn the new words in different ways like:loud/low voice; traffic lights; stand up; Simon says; pass the word; little teacher.......

3)The third step:

Sentences learning. During this step, pay attention to understanding.
