一．

教学内容

八年级下册第二单元第一话题Section C.本课是阅读新授课。本课的大致内容是Craig给Kangkang一封邮件中对他自己的简单介绍和他创立解放儿童这个组织的时间，原因，目的，目前状况等事情。通过阅读这些内容，培养学生提炼处理信息的能力。

二．教学目标

1.语言知识：（1）掌握下列词汇和短语:group，member, purpose, in order to ，as a result, instead of (2)理解宾语从句和目的状语从句。

2.学习能力：精读文本内容，学会提炼和处理所需信息的能力。

3.思维品质:根据图片和已有知识联想，预测出文章大意的思维能力，以及批判精神。

三．教学重难点

理解文中的宾语从句和目的。

四．教学步骤

Step 1. Lead-in 用Craig 的图片引入本话题，然后创设情境学习新单词：group，member, purpose, Step 2. Pre-reading 1.According to the four pictures ,predict these sentences “T” or “ F”

2. Go through the article quickly, answer the question.

Q1. What’s the format of the article?

Step 3. While-reading 1.

Listen to the tape and understand it. Then answer the questions. Q2.How many para.s in the letter? And number them.

Q3.What’s the main idea of each para.? 2.

Read para. 2and 3 .

Fill in 1b , No.1 . Then check the answers one by one.

Read loudly and find out your problems. Then solve these problems together. Step 4. Pose-reading
