The material I’m going to teach is from Project English Grade8 Unit 5 Topic2 “I’m feeling better now.” The topic is about feelings. The reading passage is the center of this unit. By studying this topic, we’ll enable students to know how to tell why he/she has these feelings. At the same time ,improving the students’ communicative ability is the most important part of the teaching material. Learning condition For my students, as teenagers, they have strong willing to learn new things and by participating, they will learn better. They have learned English for one and a half years，so they know the usage of the basic words and expressions. They can do some activities with English. They are interested in learning English and familiar with my teaching methods. Then I will adopt task-based teaching method and situational teaching method. For teaching conditions, our school has advanced teaching facilities and equipment, which guarantee the application of multimedia teaching.

Teaching aims Knowledge objectives (1)Pronounce and use the new words and phrases correctly, like (exam, shy, strict …) (2)Understand the content of the lesson. (3)Talk about the reasons by using what has been learnt in the dialogue and write the sentences down.

Ability objectives (1)To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing (2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

Emotion objectives (1)By completing the task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in English. (2)Build their teamwork by working in group. Focal points (1)Pronounce and use the new words and phrases correctly, like (exam, shy, strict…). (2)Understand the content of the lesson. (3)Describe reasons by using the reason clause guided by “because”.
