Period 1 Step one: warming up 1. Greetings. T: Hi, boys and girls. Good morning. How are you? 2. Free talk. T: Are we going to write/talk about our school... S: Yes, we are. No, we aren’t T: Guess, what are we going to do today?

Step two: presentation 1. Introduce the new words and sentences 1)

T: (showing different pictures and explain the meaning) Look, what can you see? Guess, what’s the meaning of the pictures? (Introduce other new words like this) 2. Learn the key sentences (Show some pictures) 1) T: What are we going to do today? We are going to do some research (Write the sentences down on the blackboard) We are going to make a plan about ants What will we do? First,We are going to read some books. Then,We are going to find some information. And then,We are going to collect some pictures. Next,We are going to study and think.

Step three: practice 1 Practice the words: bomb game 2 Practice the sentences: complete the sentences 3 The dialogue 1) Listen to the tape of Part A. 2) Listen and answer. 3) Listen and repeat. 4) Listen and read. Step four: consolidation

本节课运用对ants调查研究的引入,活学活用本节课所学的重难点句型和单词,并提前运用下一单元做计划的First,then,等顺序教学,培养学生们逻辑性思维。学生们在情境下学习较好。能很快掌握句型,对动物的研究也很感兴趣,同学们也主动参与另外的植物和动物的调查。
