Lesson18 Lost in the City 1教学目标
语言交流目标
学生能够利用上下文、插图以及已有知识理解故事主要内容和细节信息;通过分角色表演小猫问路的故事,学生能提升语言交流和综合运用能力。
思维认知目标
通过完成不同的阅读任务,学生了解并尝试运用一些阅读策略。培养学生仔细倾听,认真观察,大胆表达及互助合作的能力。通过对小猫去哪儿猜测,帮小猫想解决问题办法,以及对故事情节如何发展的推理,学生的逻辑思维能力和想象力得到培养,提高其遇事积极动脑想办法解决的社会实践能力。
社会文化目标
通过学习故事,学生能够明白帮助他人,快乐自己的道理,懂得美好的品德更受大家的喜爱和尊重。意识到与人交往要有礼貌,做事情要细致认真,并且注意出行安全。
2学情分析
四年级学生活泼好动,好奇心强,喜欢表现自己,教师的激励和表扬会给学生带来极大的吸引力和兴趣。大多数同学已经形成了一定的英语学习习惯,有了一定的英语语言基础和英语表达能力。能借助图片,在老师的帮助下读懂简单的对话故事,表达情感并进行语言交流。
本课是四年级上册第三单元的最后一课,以Let’s go 为主题,前面几课已经学习了有关问路,交通,城市的相关知识。这都为本课的学习奠定了基础。

教学重点
借助图片和在教师的帮助下,学生理解故事。
教学难点
通过对故事的理解,发挥想象灵活表演故事,理解故事内涵。

4.1第一学时
4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】ⅠPre-reading
T: Hello, boys and girls. Today let’s learn a story. In the story ,there is a little cat. Her name is Lily. It's a nice day. She is going out. Can you guess where is she going?
The students guess : She is going to a park/ zoo/.......(学生猜测各种地点)
活动2【讲授】Ⅱ
While-reading
1. T: She is going to a city.
What’s in the city?(借助板书内容谈论)
教师顺时介绍Her sister -Kitty lives in a city. She is going to visit her. She will go to her sister’s house.
2. T:Now she is in the city. Wow,how big ! There are
many new buildings and new streets. So Lily is lost. What will Lily do? (教师提问小猫迷路了,他应该怎么办呢?学生猜测并谈谈迷路时解决的方法)
3. T: What does Lily do?
Let’s watch the video.
T: Who does she meet?
Ss: A dog. A nice dog.
T: How does the dog show the way?
Show a map. (出示地图,并让学生边看地图中小猫移动路线边说:Go straight and turn left.)
4. Role-play
(1)老师与一名学生示范
(2)Practice in pairs.
(3)Volunteers show it.
5. 再出示地图指着图中的房子问:T:Is it here sister’s house?
学生猜测并观察发现不是It's the Mice house. Not the Nice
house.老师表扬学生细心。You're so careful.
6. T: Oh, no. What will Lily do? Who can help her?
T: Look, here comes a bird. 出示老鸟的图片,引导学生在这种着急的情况下,询问
Excuse me, where is the Nice house?

T: Will the bird help Lily? Let’s have a look. 8. Let’s read and follow the video.
9. T: At this time, can Lily find the Nice house?

10. T: Finally , she gets to the Nice house. How does she feel? (Is she happy?)
Ss: Yes,she is happy.
T: She says: I missed you. Her sister says: I missed you, too.

Post-reading
1. Read the whole story and finish the map in the group.
2. Look at the blackboard and retell the story together.
3. Act out the story in the groups.

Homework
1. Read the story three times.
2. After class retell the story to your friends.
