第一课时
一、教学目标
1.To learn singular and plural forms of five new words:
an orange/oranges, a banana/bananas, a pear/pears, a grape/grapes, a watermelon/watermelons 2.To learn target sentences: What’s this? It’s a/an _____.
What are these? They’re ______.
3.To learn that fruits are good for health.
二、教学重点,难点。

Step 1 Warm- up
1、Greetings
T: Hello, boys and girls! What’s this? And this?
(pointing at the flower and the bee separately)
Ss: Flower\Bee!\Fruit....
T: Very good. The flower and bee are made by fruits. Do you like fruits? Do you like apples?
Let’s sing the song Apple Tree together, ok?
Ss: OK! 2、Lead the students sing the song—Apple tree. 【设计意图:通过一幅有趣又色彩丰富的图片来调动学生的兴趣,紧接着唱一首简单又朗朗上口的《苹果树》进行课前的热身,能渲染课堂氛围,提高学习热情,为整节课的学习进行了巧妙的铺垫。】
Step 2
Lead-in & Presentation
1. The teacher acts as Cindy and have a free talk.
T: Hello, I’m Cindy. Nice to see you.
Do you like fruits? I like fruits very much because An apple a day keeps doctor
away.
There are many interesting fruits in the kingdom. Let's go together.
2.
Show the pictures of fruits one by one on the PPT. Many funny fruit pictures arouse Cindy’s curiosity and interest. Ss learn the new words with Cindy.
【情景设计:通过大家熟知的童星Cindy带着学生们一起进入水果王国,看到各种各样新奇的水果造型,集中学生的注意力,引起学生的好奇心,加深学生对图片与单词对应关系的印象。】
3. The teacher shows a picture of an apple/orange.
1) Learn the new word: an orange 2) practice the new word by using the target sentence: what’s this? It’s an orange.
3) review the usage of an (5 vowel letters: a, e, i, o, u)
4. The teacher shows a picture of a banana 1) only show part of the picture and ask Ss to guess: What’s this? (hint: yellow)
2) practice the new word by using the target sentence: what’s this? It’s a banana. 5. Teach the rest new words in the similar ways, including “a watermelon, a pear, and a grape.”
1) review the first four words by playing games, namely “an apple, an orange, a banana, a watermelon”, and then introduce the last two words involving
“a pear and a grape”
2) Game 1: High and low voice (input)
Game 2: sharp eyes (output) 【设计意图:6个水果单词(包括apple)分成两部分教授,在教了前4个单词后通过游戏进行复习巩固后再学剩下的两个,不需学生一次性学完新单词,降低难度。】

Learn the plural form and new target sentences 1)
T: Fruits in the kingdom are so interesting. Do you want more? 【设计意图:展示更多的水果,由此引出水果单词的复数及新句型。】

Show the pictures of oranges, bananas and watermelons
T: What are these? They’re _________.
(reinforce the pronunciation of “-s” when reading the sentence)
T: Wow, there are many fruits! Look at the words! What can you find? 【设计意图:从本单元的8个新单词中选出单复数符合规则变化的5个单词放在第一课时中,先让学生对单复数的概念有基本的认识。在PPT中把每一个单词的-s都标红,让学生自己发现和总结规律】

Show the pictures of pears and grapes
Ask the Ss to write their plural forms. Step 3
Practice 1.
Game 1: Boom game
stick the word cards, including singular and plural forms, on the whiteboard and invite
Ss to play the game together 2.
Give the word cards to Ss and practice the new target—practice the dialogue between the teacher
and students.
【设计意图:先老师随意抽取单复数的单词卡问学生: What’s this?/What are these? 然后把卡片发给不同的小组,让学生们互相问答练习。】

Extension 1.
Ask Ss to make a conversation by using the word cards

Give them a sample to fill in (choose one of them to fill in)

Summary 1.
Review the singular form of new words 2.
Review the plural form of new words and reinforce the rule of adding -s 3.
Review the target sentences 【设计意图:总结所学内容,让学生对所学知识有一个系统认识。】
Step 6
Homework
Draw your own fruit kingdom and write down the name of fruits. 【设计意图:让学生发挥他们的创造力,画出自己的水果王国。】
