单元总览

一、单元教学目标

1.语言知识目标：

(1)

能听说读写小动物的单词，如elephant、panda、rabbit、tiger、lion、monkey等，复习已学过的动物单词，如cat、dog、horse、goose等，并拓展学习新单词rat、hippo等。

(2)

能熟练运用句型：What's this？It's a/an... Is this a/an...？Yes，it is./No,it isn’t. (3)

能根据所给提示，仿照例子，生成新的语言输出。

(4)

能熟练掌握字母g,h以及i的发音。

语言技能目标：

(1)

运用所学的动物单词和句型进行问答。

(2)

通过游戏及活动，联合实际生活，让学生灵活运用学过的知识结合动物话题进行交际。

(3)

拓展动物的单词和句型的应用，引导学生关爱和保护动物，热爱大自然。

学习策略目标：

(1)

从学生的学习兴趣和认知水平出发，创设英语学习环境和提供适当的资源引导学生自主学习，通过一系列的闯关任务，学习新句型，拓展新知识。学生能通过多次运用、体验、反思，巩固所学单词句型，发挥他们的想象力和创造性，结合旧知识综合运用英语。

通过表演、歌曲等形式调动学生的多种感官，训练学生的英语思维。

鼓励学生积极运用多种学习方法和策略，合作学习，分享交流，自主获取信息。

二、单元内容分析

1.本单元重点：

(1)

词汇：tiger, rabbit, panda, monkey, elephant, lion (2)

字母：Gg，Hh，Ii (3)

课文结构以及对于我们的意义：在学习了单词的基础上，以单词为载体，进行主要句型的学习，根据具体情况，学会交流对话，侧重句型What's this? It is...学习，以交际意向和课外拓展为重点。

2.本单元难点：学生处于小学阶段，对一些事物的认知尚且模糊，对部分单词的感知和理解可能存在问题。对于三年级上学期学生的要求重点是会读并且会说，敢于模仿表达，其次能掌握一些基本单词的拼写和造句，在此基础上与人进行简单沟通。

3.单元教学课时安排建议： 3 课时

第一课时：vocabulary, target 第二课时：story, song, practice 2, activity 1, activity 3 第三课时：activity 2, alphabet

第二课时

一、教学目标

1.运用所学的动物单词和句型进行问答。

2.能根据所给提示，仿照例子，生成新的语言输出。

二、教学重点，难点。

1.在学习了单词的基础上，以单词为载体，进行主要句型的学习，根据具体情况，学会交流对话，侧重句型What's this? It is...学习，以交际意向和课外拓展

为重点。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warm- up Make one of the animal sounds.

T: Meow, meow. Is this a cat?

T: Ruff, ruff. Is this a bird?

Continue teaching all the animal sounds to Ss the same way.

Using the book

T: Let’s sing. Listen to the tape. Play the tape.

T: This time, point to the picture when you hear the word.

Model by pointing to the pictures while singing.

Play the tape.

T: This time, let’s sing together. Play the tape and sing along.

Step 2

Lead-in & Presentation

1. Bring in pictures of a dog and a cat. First, show the picture of a dog.

2. T: Is this a dog? Repeat. Is this a dog?

3. Next show the picture of a cat.

4. T: Is this a dog? Repeat. No, it isn’t. Using the book

T: Open your books. ( Point to the dog. ) Is this a dog?

T: Is this a bird?

T: Let’s listen. Play the tape, pausing after each expression to have Ss repeat.

Divide the class into two groups.

One group takes the role of Gogo and the other half Tony.

Have each group repeat after the T.

Step 3

Practice Practice 2

Using the Picture Cards of the key vocabulary, cover up a portion of the picture, revealing only a small body part: eyes, mouth, ears, etc.

T: Is this a ( lion )?

Using the book

Have Ss look at the pictures.

T: This time, listen to the tape and answer.

Play the tape for Picture A and have Ss answer in unison.

Continue with B and C. Step 4

Extension Use pictures of a dog, a cat and a bird. Show the pictures in order and ask questions that require Yes, it is. as an answer. Then,show the pictures again and ask questions that require No, it isn’t. as an answer. After that, mix up the pictures and ask questions at random. Step 5

Summary Have Ss read story. Step 6
