一、整体设计思路：

本课通过一个可爱的，生动的小动物毛毛虫展开话题。先让学生整体了解故事，然后通过讲解去理解故事，最后让学生编故事以达到知识输出的目的。

二、教学内容分析：

《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》是我们很熟悉的一个故事，叙述一只很饿的毛毛虫从星期一吃一个苹果、星期二吃两个梨子……一直吃到星期天，吃了好多、好多的糖果蛋糕等食物后，变得好大好大，结成一个蛹，经过两个星期后，变成一只漂亮的大蝴蝶。我运用多媒体课件，让六年级学生边听故事边看多媒体的演示，结合已有的知识经验来理解故事的内容。而这个活动的最终目的则是让他们在理解故事的基础上总结出其中的main idea,并编出自己的故事，找到在英语学习中的成就感，从而更加喜爱英语。

三、教学目标分析：

知识技能目标：

1、仔细观察绘本画面，运用简单的英语单词、句子复述故事，并能编一段故事。

2、理解新单词——plums, pickle,salami,lollipop. 3、学习运用绘本中的句型：It’s… He ate… But he was still very hungry.

情感目标：

通过故事活动教学让学生们成长需要时间，懂得要耐心地不断从生活中汲取营养，让自己变得更好。

2.

培养英语阅读的兴趣。

Step 1: Warm—up: Greetings: T：Good morning! What day is it today? Ss: It is ... T: I’m hungry now. Are you hungry? Ss: Yes. I want to eat ... T: Today we have a new friend, do you want to know him? Ss: Yes. T: OK, now let’s watch a video about our new friend. Step 2: Presentation: 1.

At the beginning,draw a line of time. First, at a night, the caterpillar was born. She was very hungry,then she began to eat different foods and fruits on different days. She grew up one day by one day.At last, she was big enough and became a beautiful butterfly. Ask students to who answer the questions. 4. Now let’s finish the story. Ask students to fill the blanks to retell the story.

5.Look at the writing and the mind map on the blackboard and retell the story. Step 3: Consolidation: 1.

What do you know from the story? Now you can talk with your friends. When we are growing up, we should get enough energy to help us,such as: food, fruit and knowledge. So we should study hard,learn some skills to help us to be the best us. 2.
