This unit is Unit Four from the first book of Grade Six . According to the teaching design and the suggestion of English reading of Grade Six , this lesson demands the students understand notice and then complete the after-class activities. Students should read correctly , answer the questions ,understand notice ,so that they can learn how to say and write at last. Teaching aim: 1. Students can hear, say and recognize"shall, goal,join"etc. 2. Let students grasp"Read and write", Then ask them to make a new notice. 3. Improve the students reading level and let them try to write. Increase their abilities of studying by themselves. 4. Make students get used to communicating with people and having all kinds of hobbies. Important points: 1. Students can understand and digest"Read and write"and they should know how to read. 2. Let them try to write a new notice according to the lesson. Difficult points: Improving the reading level and grasping the reading skills. Try to think and write in English. Study

analysis:

This lesson is for Grade Six students. They have basic ability for English reading. But they can’t get further progress because of their limited understanding. The students have learned something about hobbies. And they have experienced the activities of notice .This will help students introduce their clubs when they learn notice.

Methods of teaching and studying : This lesson is based on students’ interests ,experience of life and levels of knowledge. Promotes the studying methods of cooperation and exchange. It also promotes task-based teaching approaches. Implementing enlightening teaching principles and reflects the subjectivity of students and the dominance of teachers.

Process of teaching：

一.Lead-in 1.Show some photos,go over some phrases.Talk with students. Ask their hobbies. 二.Presentation

1. Then tell the students that my hobby is dancing. And show them the photos. 2.Tell the students that I had joined a dancing club.Show the world “club”，read the worlds: such,up,much,cup,and let the students made the conclusion,that u in the word"club"pronounce [ ʌ

].Then all the students look at the blackboard, and read aloud the word club[klʌb].Then, ask them:"Do you like dancing, if you do, you can join our dancing club".Learn" join", show the worlds:noise,point,voice,And let the students made the conclusion that oi in the word "join" oi pronounce

Group cooperation. according to the hobbies,design a dating notice or society notice. 2.The teacher shows two examples. 3.Demands:Let students design，give them 5 minutes to finish it. 4.Show time.Let the groups show their notices in front of the class. 5.Last, The teacher gives a summary to the student's work. 六．Summary: Everyone has his own hobby.Please come to join the clubs you are interested in. Here you will meet more friends, you will have more topics.You will be happier, Enjoy your life and be happy everyday.
