Unit 2 Happy birthday! 本模块的教学内容是询问年龄与回答。

Unit 1的课文情境是Sam向同学们展示自己的年龄牌(age badge ),Darning看到好朋友Sam戴着年龄牌,自己也做了一个戴上。可他做事比较马虎,把年龄牌戴倒了,6就成了9。西方国家的孩子在自己生日时会佩戴(有时成年人也会在自己特殊的生日时佩戴,比如:18岁、20岁、30岁)年龄牌,以显示自己的年龄,小孩子会以此为骄傲。

Unit2的课文情境是Darning给Sam送生日礼物,通过对本课的学习,学生将学会关于年龄的问答句型:How old are you ?I’m…。了解生日祝贺用语Happy birthday!并能在生活中自如应用。

The children listen carefully and look at each picture. They then circle either object according to what they hear. Then play the second part of the recording so that the children can check their answers.

Teach the children how to make a birthday card.

Encourage the stronger pupils to write down the sentence on the card cover.

Note that if they bring things from

home, make sure those items are not valuable and ensure that the students have their parent’s permission.

Consolidation

Instead of getting the students to give pictures of objects, have them bring small items from home or use real classroom objects.
