五. Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Greeting and oral English practice.

1.Greeting

T: Class begins. One Two.

Ss: Three Four.

T: Good mornig, everyone.

Ss: Good morning, Louisa.

T: How are you?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you.

2.Oral English practice.

T: Hi, boy. What’s your name? /Nice to meet you. / What’s this? /What color?

(Teacher chooses some students to have an oral English practice. And praise Ss with “Good, good, very good”)

Step 2 Enjoy a song

T: All of you did a very good job. A song for you, Ten Little Indians. (Ss Enjoy the song the first time, and the second time, all the ss stand up, sing and dance.)

T: What can you hear?

Ss: boys

T: How many Indians boys? Ok, let’s count. One, two, …, ten. How many? SA/SB/SC: Ten boys. (Invite more than 3 Ss to answer)

Step 3 Presentation and practice

T: Now, let’s count more. How many?

Ss: one.

T: Yes, one. One, one, one. (Add the actions.)

(Each team count 2-5 one by one, and learn 2-5 together. Three Five 纠音Add the actions.)

(Guessing game, Ss say the numbers in the black box loudly together, and guess the numbers in the red box. Teacher invites some of them to say the answers. )

(Ss count the ball, bird, pumpkin, fish and butterfly. Ss count the ball together. Teacher invites one line to count and answer,’’How many birds/pumpkins/fishes/butterflies’’ )

Step 4 Pairwork

One student uses his fingers to ask “How many?” The other one answers. Invite some pairs to show it.

Step 5 count more

T: Now, let’s count more. How many?

Ss: Six. (Ss count 6-10 one team by one team, and learn 6-10 together. And do the actions )

(Ss count the bag, pencil, pen, book. Teacher invites some Ss to answer, “How many”)

Step6 Group work
