What’s the weather like in Hong Kong? - It’s sunny.

三、Teaching Procedures: Step 1: Warming-up T: Good morning, boys and girls.

S: Good morning, Lydia.

T: Before our class, I will show you a video, after the video, please tell me what you’ve listened.

S: OK.

(Show them the video...)

(Tell teacher the words...) T: Yes, that’s great. You’re so excellent. Today, we are going to learn something about weather and some countries. Please look at the PPT and pictures, let’s get started.

(Show them PPT...) T: From the PPT, we can learn some words about weather, such as... S: Sunny.

T: Yes! And what else?

(Show them the pictures about weather...) T: (P1) Please follow me, windy.

S: Windy. (Teach the words of weather...) T: That’s all for the weather, now please look here, here are some place, let’s look at where are they.

S: Yes. (Show them pictures...)

T: (P5) Where is it, class?

S: ... T: OK. I will give you some hints, it called the most romantic place, many couples love there. Where is it?

S: 法国巴黎。

(Teach the words of countries...) T: Now, we have learn some words about weather and palces. Let’s make a sentence to connect the two kinds of words.

(Show them the sentence, What’s the weather like in ...) T: Class, do you know what’s hot topic between foreiners? In Chinese, we always say,

你吃了吗？But in other countries, they will not say that. They will say, What’s the weather like. They’d love to talk about weather.

S: Oh, I see.

T: So, now, we need to learn this sentence, and talk about it with your forein friends in the future.
