To announce the ways of assessment (2分钟) T: Hello, boys and girls. Do you like apples? I like apples. Apples are my favourite. They are very delicious! Very delicious!(配身体语言,表现出很好吃的样子,并把这词贴于苹果树旁。) In this class, we’re going to pick apples. Here we have four groups: Spring Group, Summer Group, Fall Group & Winter Group .(介绍时,各组起立齐拼该季节单词,如:s-p-r-i-n-g , spring.)Look, each group has your own tree. There are many apples here. If you do well, you can pick apples for your tree. At last, the group which has the most beautiful tree is the winner.

The winner can get the apples from me. Cheer up, my children! (四棵代表四个季节的树贴于黑板下方,所摘苹果贴于各棵树上,形象、直观,培养学生互相合作精神及竞争意识。) 3.

Let’s chant (1分钟)

T: Today we’re going to talk about the seasons. Now let’s stand up and chant the seasons together. (CAI 出示Unit 2 Let’s chant 部分的歌谣,全班一齐起立,拍手说唱。) Ss:“Spring is green with flowers and songs. Summer is hot and the days are long. Fall is golden and farmers are busy. Winter is white and the year is gone.”

Step 2: Preview & Presentation(35分钟)

1. Play a game : Golden Eye (快速出示plant trees /go hiking /coat/swim/fly kites/cold/hot/shirt等词) 2.To pick apples (2分钟)

T: You’ve done a good job. Each group can pick apples to decorate your tree. There are some apple words here, you must pick the right apples on your own season trees. (黑板上部分苹果贴有表达各季节特征的词,让各组代表找出来并正确地贴于树上;下面各个环节任何一组的学生答对老师提出的问题或完成老师设置的一个任务就可以摘一个苹果。下略。) 3.To read the season trees & present the new sentences in “Read and answer”(8分钟)

T: Wow, the trees are so beautiful! Let’s look at the trees and read after me.

T&Ss:“In spring, it’s windy and warm. It often rains. I wear the sweater. I can plant trees. I can see many beautiful flowers.”

“In summer, it’s sunny and hot. I wear the T-shirt and the shorts. I can swim in the sea. “In fall, it’s windy and cool. I wear the shirt. I can fly kites, go hiking.”

“In winter, it’s windy and cold. It snows . I can ski. ”

T: I like your nice reading. I also like your beautiful trees, too. But spring is my favourite season. It is beautiful.

But it often rains in spring. And it is hard to plant flowers in the rain. (CAI出示该句新句子) “And it is hard to plant flowers in the rain.”

T: It is hard. But it is so nice to watch the flowers grow.

T: Good, summer is hot , and you can swim in the sea.

S: I like fall best.

T: In fall, I can see many colourful leaves. And I also love to watch the leaves fall.

(CAI出示该句子) “I also love to watch the leaves fall.”

(教师带领学生分句群操练。)

T: The leaves always fall in autumn. So we can call autumn “fall”.

(CAI出示句子) “We can call autumn “fall”. T: Why can we call autumn “fall”? Why?

Ss: Because we can see many leaves fall. T: Is that why we can call autumn “fall”? (CAI出示句子) Is that why we can call autumn “fall”? (分层次操练) (4)T: And what about your favourite season?(个别提问)

S: I like winter best.

T: Yes, winner is white and the year is gone. It often snows. But it doesn’t snow in Shantou.

It snows here in Beijing.

( CAI出示,全班齐唱,活跃气氛并为引出本部分教学做好衔接。) (2)(After singing the song)T: My favourite season is fall. It’s cool and windy. I can wear the T-shirt. I can fly kites. And what about you? What’s your favourite season ? Why?(个别提问两位同学) (3)T: Excellent ! Now all the class , open your books and turn to page 40. Write down your favourite season and tell your partner.

We have talked so much about the seasons. They are so beautiful.Do you like them? Let’s make a season book. These are your season books, and try to write the missing words under the pictures. There are six pictures in every book, every one in your group must finish a picture, and then put them together.
