【教学内容分析】

本课是在学习完Module5 Foods we need这一模块的基础上进行的拓展阅读。所选择阅读材料是五年级上册《拓展读与写》Module 5 Level 1 , Level 2 。

学生对食物的话题已经有所了解，对各种中外生活的饮食差异，生活习惯的细微差异感兴趣。本课通过中外饮食文化的阅读材料的理解，让学生在阅读中进一步认识中外饮食文化的差异。

【学生情况分析】

学生已经在 Module5 Foods we need 这一模块中学习了有关食物的各种信息，对中外食物的名称有所认识，并且初步了解了中外饮食习惯的差异，对食物的话题比较熟悉也是比较感兴趣的。本课提供学生的阅读材料是关于对食物的评价和西方饮食与中国饮食差异的描述，话题比较能激发学生的学习兴趣，也与学生的生活有较大的联系，同时也是拓展学生文化知识的优秀资源。阅读的内容相对简单易懂，但关于饮食生活差异的描述能力学生就相对薄弱，因此老师紧扣核心素养中学习能力的培养，在课堂上通过各种的视觉资源，给学生渗透不同的文化信息，拓展学生的知识面，为学生的语言输出创造更多的资源。

【教学目标】

1.能够通过阅读理解篇章的内容，

并通过完成篇章练习，进一步巩固评论食物的不同口味和

描述中西文化知识的句子。

2.通过课外阅读的输入，加大学生描述饮食的用语。

3.能通过思维导图的补充和运用，培养学生提取信息和归纳信息的能力并能对篇章进行口头复述。 4.了解西方国家与中国饮食文化的差异。

【教学重难点】

重点：能通过整体阅读，理解阅读材料，了解表达不同口味及中西方国家饮食文化的区别。

难点：能通过阅读及反复说话，能理解并根据提示复述篇章主要内容。

【教学策略】

1.以食物话题贯穿课堂，通过媒体资源感知篇章内容，学习理解篇章。

2.充分利用图片、歌曲、游戏等资源进行词汇和句型的教学，寓教于乐，优化课堂教学。

3.联系实际生活，利用听读方式对学生进行语言输入。

4.通过课堂活动，使学生体验到英语学习的乐趣，体验运用语言的成就感。

5.通过教师多种评价方式，激励学生的学习兴趣和积极性

《拓展读与写》五年级上册 Module 5 Level 1 We are eating out My friend Jack and I are eating out. For starters we have vegetable salad. It looks very fresh, and it tastes very good. For the main course we have fried rice, steak and tomato soup. The fried rice smells delicious, but tastes oily. Steak is always my favourite. And the steak today tastes really good. Jack thinks the tomato soup is salty, but I think it is just right. For dessert we have pudding and fruit salad. Jack thinks the pudding is too sweet, but I just love it! The apple in the fruit salad is sweet and juicy. Both Jack and I love it. The banana is tasteless. We don’t like it.

John lives with his parents-in-law John married Lily. John is from the USA. Lily is from China. They live in Shanghai. Usually John and Lily use knife and fork to eat western food. Lily can cook, but it takes too much time to cook Chinese food, and Lily is always so busy. So, when they want to eat Chinese food, They eat out.

Sometimes John’s parents-in-law come to live with them. They are from Shenyang. They don’t like western food. They can’t use knife or fork. They don’t like eating their food on a plate.

They enjoy food like pancakes and dumplings. They use bowls and chopsticks to eat. When they are in Shanghai, they cook three Chinese meals a day. John is not good at using chopsticks. He tries to learn. Sometimes he uses

a fork to eat. Lily’s parents are good cooks. John eats a lot. Lily’s parents are very happy about that.
