use modelled sentences to describe what people are doing at points certain times in their daily life.
Step 1 Warming—up Have a short (1)
Game: Quick response review and them
Ask Ss to stand up quickly and make up sentences according to the pictures give more phrases on PPT. The quicker the better. to help them in writing.
E.g. It is six o’clock. Kitty is brushing her teeth.

Read the sentences together.
E.g. Kitty is doing homework.
Step 2 Presentation
(1)
Listen to the story Kitty’s Friday evening.
(2) According to the recording, and answer the questions. Check their understanding
Learn and practice some new words and phrases. of the story
E.g.
finish, do a puzzle, It’s time for…
(3) Have a review of the story by asking them to fill in the blanks.
Step 3 Production Stimulate Ss interest.
(1)
Listen to the tape and get to know Mrs. Zhang’s Friday evening.
(2)
Read Liu Xiaowei’s Friday evening.
Encourage Ss to write and E.g. It’s half past seven. Liu Xiaowei is washing dishes. show. (3)
Ask Ss to write Tina’s Friday evening according to the pictures.
Give them two minutes to discuss and then write it down E,g. It’s six o’clock. Tina is having dinner.
