Period 1: Transportation at the Bund It is a fine day. Kitty and Ben are at the Bund. Ben is reading an interesting book on the bench. But he can hear a lot of traffic. Kitty:
Listen, Ben! What can you hear? Ben:
I can hear a ship. Kitty:
What else can you hear?
Ben:
Hmm… I can hear an aeroplane.
Kitty:
Yes. There is an aeroplane. Kitty is watching the passing transportations. They go very fast on the road. Ben:
What can you see, Kitty? Kitty:
I can see a bus, and some cars too.
On their way home, they see some bicycles, motorcycles and scooters. How busy the traffic is in Shanghai! Period 2:
Busy Shanghai
As a modern big city with many people, Shanghai has its convenient transportations. There are thirteen subway lines now. So we can go many places by subway. And the subway trains are clean too. Do you know Shanghai Maglev Train? It runs from Pudong International Airport
to Longyang Road, and the whole journey takes only 8 minutes. Taxis, city buses, and sightseeing buses are ready to bring you to any part of Shanghai.
