一、教材内容分析

本模块的话题是School lunch跟学生的生活密切相关，

主要学习做饭所需材料和制作的过程，能谈论做饭过程中需要的材料和简述自己怎么做。学生在Unit 5前面3个课时，已经掌握的句型有：What do you need ? Do you need...? 及回答，词汇：juice、rice、salt 、sugar、meat、vegetables、tofu、fruit。本节课是Unit 5的第四课时，主要学习阅读文本和运用该文本的素材进行做蔬菜汤这一活动，并能就做蔬菜汤的话题进行语言交际，并简述和写出做汤的过程。

二、教学对象分析

本班学生英语学习兴趣浓厚，思维活跃，表达欲望强烈，敢于模仿，乐于交往。在日常的教学中我比较注重培养学生积累和运用语言，不断鼓励和锻炼学生大胆开口说英语的能力，从而养成了良好的学习习惯。结合学生的学习能力，本节课设计了游戏和先探后说的研学步骤，以活泼的课堂氛围，以学带练的方式解决本课的重难点。

三、教学目标

(一) 语言知识目标

1．

能听说词汇：potato(es)、tomato(es)、carrot(s)、one spoon of sugar、two spoons of salt、minute(s)、wish、peel、put in、another。

2. 能听说以下句型：What do you need to do? I need to......

Put in......

Cut...... into ....... （二）语言技能目标

1. 能正确使用祈使句来表达一种做法。

2. 能听懂并理解本课文的大概意思。

3. 能根据课文大意排列做汤的顺序并写出做汤的步骤。

4. 能综合运用已学知识描述做汤的步骤。

（三）情感态度目标

1．通过有趣的语言情景，促进学生学习的积极性，使学生体验学习英语的乐趣。

2. 帮助学生养成良好的英语学习习惯----乐于模仿，敢于开口，积极参与，主动合作。

3. 在语言训练活动中，让学生体验英语学习的乐趣，乐于与同学分享交流。并通过研学过程学会与人合作学习，培养合作精神。

（四）学习策略目标

1. 在学习中集中注意力，细心聆听，主动思考。

2. 在说的活动中提高语言表达能力和大胆说英语的习惯。

（五）文化意识目标

1. 接触做汤等日常生活，增加英语在日常生活中的使用，拓展了词汇量；

2. 让学生了解中外的汤的不同之处和所用到的材料，了解中外饮食文化的差异。

四、教学过程

Step One: Warming up 1.

Greeting: listen to the songs of

“one potato, two potato”. 2.

Show the potato, tomato and the carrot. T: Guess what it is? How many potatoes are there in the picture?

Post the word card of “3 potatoes”.

Next, post the picture of “4 tomatoes”, “2 carrots”.

Play a game:

Teacher divides the class into two groups: half of the students are potato group, the other are the tomato group. When the teacher says: I need 3 potatoes, 3 students in potato group should stand up as soon as possible.

T: Now, I need 5 potatoes. ( 5 students in potato group stand up. Sometimes they would make mistakes because they do not know their classmates’ movement.)

Next, I want 4 tomatoes.

Step Two: Review 1.

Show the picture of “potatoes”, “tomatoes” and “carrots”.

T: Now, we have potatoes, tomatoes and carrots. They are vegetables. 2.

Teach the word of “sugar” and “salt”.

T: But vegetables are not yummy. We can put in salt and sugar. Step Three: Presentation 1.

Introduce the topic of making vegetable soup. T: Today, Tony, Jenny and Gogo come to our school at 12 o’clock.

But Gogo says: Before lunch, I’m thirsty. I like vegetable soup. Do you like vegetable soup?

S: Yes, I do.

T: Perfect! So let’s make a vegetable soup today! OK? 2.

Present the materials that we need in the vegetable soup and teach the new

words. T: Before we make the vegetable soup. What do we need, first? Look! Here is the potato and we need three potatoes! Read after me, potato. 3 potatoes...

Ask students what do we need and present the materials again. Listen to the tape and underline the verbs in making soup.

Step Four: Extension 1.Make the correct order in the steps of making soup.

2.Ask the students to tell about the steps in making soup with the key words in the blackboard.

Step Five: Consolidation 1.Choose the right picture about the steps in making soup .

2.Read the steps together.

3.Ask the students to tell about the steps and make the live presentation about the vegetable soup. 4.When the vegetable soup is ready, ask the students to try.

5.Filling blanks in an email about how to make a vegetable soup.

6.Check the answer and read the email together.

7.Retell the steps of making the vegetable soup with the key words in blackboard. Step Six : Homework Make your vegetable soup for your families 二、板书设计：
