教学目标：

1、能听、说、读、写单词:zoo, panda, monkey, elephant, big, small, fat, thin. 2、能听懂、会说句型：What’s this? It’s a ….The elephant (bird,panda,monkey…) is big(small,fat,thin…).并在实际情境中运用。

3、通过本课学习，培养学生了解动物、热爱动物、保护动物的情感。

教学重点：

1、四会单词zoo, panda, monkey, elephant, big, small, fat, thin. 2、能够在实际情境中运用句型：What’s this? It’s a ….The elephant (bird,panda,monkey…) is big (small,fat,thin…). 教学难点：

1、能够正确的书写本课四会单词。

2、能够灵活运用本课句型。

教学设计：

T:Today we will learn about some animals at the zoo. Show the subject “At the Zoo”. Step3 Presentation 1、Show a picture and teach the word “zoo”. 2、Show a picture and teach the word “panda”. T: What’s this? S: It’s a panda. Write the word “panda” on the blackboard. Teach words “monkey , elephant” in the some way. 3、Let’s chant. 4、Pair work: A: What's this? B: It's a /an ...

5、Show a picture of an elephant and a bird.Compare the two animals. Teach the words “big,small”. T: Which animal is big? Which animal is small? S: The elephant is big. The bird is small. 6、Let’s chant. Step4 Practice 1、The student group read the sentences in section 2 of the textbook . And then the group shows. 2、Play “Catch the word!” game. 3、Show some pictures, ask students to make sentences. S1: The pig is fat. S2: The cat is small. Etc. 4、Show some pictures. Ask: Can you describe these animals? The students described the animals as examples. E.g: This is a panda, The panda is white and black. It is fat . 5、Play a word game . 6、Show a picture: Animals are our friends,we should protect them. Step5:Homework Introduce your favorite animals to your friends.
