Step I : Lead-in
1. Greetings.
2. Introduce a job magician to the Ss. T: Do you want to be a magician? Ss: Yes. T: OK, today let’s finish three tasks, you can get the magic book, the magic bat and magic hat, then you can be a magician. StepII : Presentation 1. Task one: Quick time.
Review some pictures, let Ss stand up and say the phrases: ride a bike, read a book, play the baseball, watch TV…
Let Ss say some other phrases like these. T gives the magic book to the Ss. 2. Task two: Sing a song. T gives the magic bat to the Ss. Then ask Ss say what they can find in the song. Ss: 现在进行时
Show some pictures and review the sentences, then learn the rooms. T: What is she doing? Ss: She is watching TV. T: Where is she? S1: She is in the living room. Then learn the new word: living room. Show the new sentence: She is watching TV in the living room. 2. Then show another picture and let Ss guess. T: What is she doing? Ss: She is washing her hands. T: Where is she? S2: She is in the bathroom. Then learn the new word: bathroom. Show the new sentence: She is washing her hands in the bathroom. 3. T: Look, it’s a moon. At night, she is sleeping. Where is she? S1: She is in the bedroom. Let Ss make a whole sentence. S3: She is sleeping in the bedroom. 4. Show a man, let Ss guess: Where is he? S4: In the kitchen. Show a woman, let Ss guess: Where is she? S4: In the dining room. Let Ss make sentences, S5: He is cooking in the kitchen. S6: She is eating in the dining room. 5. Then show the five sentences: She is watching TV in the living room. She is washing her hands in the bathroom. She is sleeping in the bedroom. He is cooking in the kitchen. She is eating in the dining room. Let Ss find the rules. Let Ss make sentences like these. StepIII: Practice Let’ s make a dialogue in pairs. A: ***, where are you? B: I’m in the living room. A: What are you doing in the living room. B: I’m watching TV in the living room. StepIV:
