本节课为话题的第一节课，主要活动为1a和4a。

本节课的课型为听说课。学习新词汇test, nervous, speech, CD的同时掌握描述心情、询问心情、表示安慰和提出建议的功能句，并让学生能够利用这些功能句进行日常交流。本课通过Kangkang 帮助Michael缓解演讲前的紧张情绪，引出对话的主题;描述影响心情和情绪的事情和具体事物。本课充分表现了Michael发表演讲前的焦虑，Kangkang 是如何进行安慰和提出建议。学生讨论2的两个问题并学会关心他人。通过4a中提供的情境作为载体，向学生呈现了简单句的六种基本句型，使学生系统地掌握简单句的构成。

Ⅰ. Teaching aims

1. Knowledge aims：

（1）学习并掌握新词汇：test, nervous, speech, CD

（2）掌握以下描述心情、询问心情、表示安慰和提出建议的功能句：

I’m worried.

I get so nervous when I give a speech. Is there anything wrong?

Relax, I am sure you will do well.

I will help you.

（3）学习简单句的六种基本句型。

2. Skill aims:

(1) 能听懂有关询问影响心情的事情和提出建议的简单对话和陈述。

(2) 能正确运用本课的交际功能用语描述心情、询问心情、表示安慰和提出建议。

3. Emotional aims:

(1) 通过对本课的学习，学生能够在英语学习中注意并理解他人的情感，在别人心情不好时提出合理有效的建议，帮助伙伴远离消极情绪。

(2) 学会勇于克服困难。

(3) 对朋友的询问、关心等作出恰当的反应。

(1) 能自如地运用描述情绪和情感的形容词描述自己的心情。

(2) 能正确地运用本课的交际功能用语进行情绪询问，宽慰他人和给出建议。

2、Look at the pictures and predict the questions.

T: Before listening, let’s look at the pictures, and predict the answers.

T: What are Kangkang and Michael doing?

S1: They are talking over the phone. T: What is Michael worried about? S2: He is worried about his speech. Step3：Presentation 1、Read the questions first and listen to 1a. Then answer the questions.

①Play the flash of 1a.Students catch the general idea of the conversation.

②Students watch the flash for the second time and finish 1b. ③Ask some students to answer the questions in 1b and the teacher check the answer. T: How does Michael feel when he has to give a speech?

S1: He may feel nervous.

What is Kangkang’s suggestion for helping Michael?

S2: He advised Michael to listen to a CD about giving speeches at his house.

T: Do you think Michael will do well in his test? S3: Yes, I do.

2、Students complete the passage in 1c.

T: The passage in 1c is rewrote form the conversation. Read it and try to fill in the blanks first. Ask some students to check the answers.

Step4：Consolidation 1、Students read the conversation after the recording sentence by sentence. 2、Students read the conversation after the teacher. 3、Students read the conversation by themselves . 4、Ask students to act out the dialog in pairs. Students should pay attention to the intonation and emotions.

5、Students discuss in groups to find out the difficult points and sum up the main points. 6、The students underline in their books and make some notes. ①have a test
