Stag 1 warn up Greeting the class and let the Ss talk about the pictures in 3a on page 44 T: Do you think it is dangerous to travel by bike ?

S1: No, I don’t think so . I think it is fun. T:I disagree with you . It can be dangerous if you are a careless bicycle rider. Look at the pictures in 3a on page 44 . Discuss in groups and complete the sentences.You have 2 minutes only . Group 1: he had an accident. T:Now , let’s check if you did correctly .

Stag 2 Pre-listening 1. Talk with the Ss about how to ride safely to lead to 1a and learn some new words: helmet, reflector. 2.Let the Ss listen to 1a and finish 1b. T:We talked about a bicycle accident at the beginning of this lesson. Now, KangKang and his friends are talking about an accident, too. 3.Listen to their conversation and finish 1b.

Stag 3 Post-listening 1. Let the Ss read 1a and find out the adverbial clauses of condition, the sentences about giving advice and the difficult points. T: You have listened to 1a, next please read the dialog. While reading, try to find out the adverbial clauses of condition, the sentences about giving advice and the difficult points. 2.Let the Ss discuss in pairs the result of breaking the traffic rules with “If”

3. Ask the Ss match the two parts of sentences to make traffic rules. Then check the answers in class. Stag 4 .Summary Encourage the Ss to summarize the key points.
