Unit 5 Feeling Excited Topic 3 Many things can affect our feelings. Section B（第一课时—1a, 1b, 1c）

Ⅰ.Textbook analysis：

本单元以Feeling Excited 为主题，第三话题在复习前两个话题的基础上，引入新内容的学习，即影响我们情绪的事物，和如何培养积极乐观的心态。学习和情感相关的一些词汇以及相关的功能句。本节课为第三课时，主要活动为Section B -1a，课型为听说课。1a的对话中出现了较多重要的短语，通过师生讨论核对1b和1c答案的方式，巩固这些重要的短语，并要求学生记忆。

Ⅱ. Student analysis：

本课的教学对象是我校八年级（8）班学生，人数57人。本班学生英语基础整体较弱，对课堂指令反应较慢，有时还不得不借助汉语进行理解。但学生思维活跃，在老师的引导下能积极的参与课堂。

Ⅲ. Teaching aims Knowledge aims：

（1）学习并掌握新词汇和短语。

sick, proud, be proud of, anyway, ready, affect, confident, mood （2）学会表达关心，鼓励和建议。

Let’s show him that we are proud of him. Let’s give Michael a surprise! 2. Skill aims: （1）能听懂有关询问影响心情的事情和提出建议的简单对话和陈述。

（2）能正确地运用本课的交际功能用语进行交流。

3. Emotional aims: （1）通过对本课的学习，学生应了解不良情绪对健康的危害，并能够在英语学习中注意并理解他人的情感，在别人心情不好时提出合理有效的建议，帮助伙伴远离消极情绪。

（2）学会勇于克服困难。

Ⅳ. The key points and difficult points Key points: （1）本课的重点词汇和短语的运用。

（2）将本课的重点词汇、短语运用到交流和写作之中。

Step 1 Lead-in Greets the students.

T:Good morning,boys and girls!How are you feeling today? Ss:I’m feeling happy. T:Why? Ss:Because today is Friday.We can go home after school. T:Oh,so we know many things can affect our feelings.If I ask you to give a speech in the front of the classroom,what will you feel? Ss:We may be nervous. T:Yes.You may be in a bad mood.Now think over: What may happen if we are always in a bad mood?(Free talk) T:If your friend is in a bad mood,what can you do for him?Now,let’s see what happened with Michael and what did his friends do for him. Step 2 Presentation 1.

Have the students listen to 1a and number the phrases they hear.Then check the answers. 2.

Let the students listen to 1a.Learn the new words and key points.Explain the conversation briefly. 3.

Show the key points of 1a.Ask students to take notes. Step 3 Consolidation 1.Read the conversation again and fill in the blanks in 1c.

2.Have the students watch the flash of 1a.Follow it to read aloud.Try to remember it. Step 4 Practice 1.

Ask the students to close their books and fill in the blanks.Then read out the conversation. 2.

Practice the conversation in group of three. 3.

Ask some groups to act in the front of the classroom. Step 5 Exercises in class Work in groups .Finish the exercises and then check the answers. Step 6 Summary Summarize the main contents with the students. Step 7 Homework 1.Practice 1a. 2. Make sentences with the key points. 3. Preview Section C. Teaching reflection: 课堂气氛活跃，学生对课堂的参与度大。结合导学案进行教学，教学目标更容易达成。课堂上，学生在老师的引导下能积极参与课堂，但仍有少部分学生学习被动，开口说英语的积极性还不够，不敢开口表达。课程环节安排紧凑，但时间把握还不够好，留给学生练习的时间较少，导致学生在表现环节效果较差。在最后练习讲解和课堂小结中，稍显仓促。
