2.Ss can master the new sentences“What can you do ? I can…”by making situation.

3.Foster the Ss’ ability of cooperation with others. Important point:Ss can use the new dialogue “What can you do ? I can…”

to ask and answer freely in life. Difficult point: The correct pronunciation of the word“jump”. Teaching steps:

Step1.Warming up and Revision.

Greetings :

Say a chant together.

Revision: T and Ss review some words.

Step2.Presentation and Drill.

T shows CAI to present a picture of a horse, then teaches Ss the new word“run”.

Ss practise the new word step by step.

T makes situation and leads Ss to understand the sentence “I can run”.

Ss practice the sentence one by one.

The same method to teach the words“walk,jump,swim,fly”and the new sentences“I can walk/jump/swim/fly”.

T lead Ss to play“Simon says”game.

T makes situation and asks Ss“What can you do ?”

Ss answer:I can …

T writes the sentence“What can you do ?”on the blackboard.

Ss practise the sentence.

T and Ss make dialogues with the sentences “What can you do ? I can…”.

Ss practice the dialogue in pairs.

Ss make dialogues with the sentences “What can you do ? I can…”.

T leads Ss to learn a new chant.

T writes the sentences “What can you do ? I can fly”.on the backboard,then leads Ss to write on their exercise books.

Step 3. Practice.

Ss listen to the tape.

Ss listen and repeat.

Ss practise in groups.

Ss act the dialogue with their partners.

Step4.Consolidation and Extension.

T shows some riddles, Ss guess.

T leads Ss to play a game.

Ss sum up the importance.
