Unit 1 My school Teaching aims

Language knowledge：Review and consolidate the words and sentence patterns what they

have learned, so that the students can use them skillfully.

Language skills：The pupils are able to listen, say and understand the story. They can finish the exercises of the story and retell the story.

Emotional attitude：Training the pupils to love the school.

Improve the pupils’ positive attitude of learning English. To make the pupils happy to participation. Help the pupils have the courage to practice.

Learning strategy：The pupils can cooperate with others to complete the study tasks.

process

Step1：Pre-reading

1.

Greeting.

Review the words. Show the pictures of the words for the children. Have them read together.

Review the sentence patterns. T: Where is the …? S: It’s on the … floor. T: Is that/ this the …? S: Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.

Ask the pupils to practice in pairs.

设计意图：使学生在真实环境中体会理解和运用，为阅读理解课文过好生词关。刺激学生大脑，使学生思维活跃，对阅读产生兴趣，为引出为新课打下了基础，创设了一个宽松的氛围。

Step2：While-reading

1.

Ask the pupils to watch the pictures. Guide the pupils to talk about the story. T: The animals are visiting a school. What are they talking? 2. Play the cartoon.

Question: What did they visit? Have the pupils watch the cartoon and think the question. Then ask them to talk about the question together. Answer: They visited gym, library, music room, lunch room and teacher’s office.

设计意图：用视听的方式呈现文章，使学生自然产生兴趣，又能帮助理解，带着问题来阅读短文

，使阅读更有针对性，知道怎么读，初步感知短文，对短文有概括的了解。

3.

Read silently

Ask the pupils to read the story silently. Guide the pupils to discuss the meaning of the sentences: It’s time for…I’m full. Then teach them practice saying and using them. 4. Play the cartoon again. Have the pupils practice saying the sentences. 设计意图：在初步感知文章的基础上，带着问题细读短文，具体理解短文。

Step3：Post-reading 1.

Divide the pupils into groups. Ask them to act out the story.

Then ask some of them act out the story in the front of the classroom. 3. Fill in the blanks.

4. Help them retell the story in small groups according to the blackboard design.
