Step 1 : Warming up

Free talk with students. Sing an English song (Happy new year) to stimulate students to be interested in learning English. Step 2：Presentation& Practice: 1.

Lead in: Using “Happy new year” to guide the Spring Festival ,then show picture to learn it. What do we eat in Spring Festival? Learn jiaozi, it means dumping. 2.

Show CAI, learn new words: Dragon Boat Festival, zongzi, Mid-autumn Festival, moon cakes. ( Using word cards) 3.

Then the teacher explains these Chinese festivals. 4.

Play a game to remember these words and phrases. 5.

Show some pictures to learn sentence structures: When did the Spring Festival? It started long ago. People had a boat race to save his body. Let students master did, started, ate……

Pair work and group work ( to practice dialogue about Chinese festivals) 7. Then ask the students to make conversations, after that act the dialogues.

8. Do some exercises (show CAI). Step 3：Boarding
