教材分析：

He is playing the suona, but the phone rings是外研版新标准英语第八册第五模块第一单元，本节课是一节新授课。本单元主要围绕Daming’s birthday party这一主题开展。

Daming正在举行生日聚会，Simon和Daming的其他朋友都来了。Daming在吹唢呐，可大家的注意力却老是被这样那样的事情吸引过去。一会儿电话响，一会儿门铃响，一会儿又有朋友来了，就连Simon的狗也来凑热闹。

学情分析：

本单元授课对象是小学六年级学生。经过几年的英语学习，他们活泼上进，有一定的英语基础，喜欢合作学习，有良好的课堂合作学习习惯，能静能动，集体观念较强。所以本单元是在复习巩固进行时,现在时以及but用法的基础上，来谈论一件事情发生时另外一件事情也同时发生。在教学中教师应该更关注后进生，给他们更多的机会表现自己，激发他们的学习积极性，让所有学生自然地同步前进，并为接下去的学习打好基础。

教学目标：

1.全体学生能理解词汇play, third, time, bark, loudly。

2.全体学生能运用词汇play, time; 部分学生能运用词汇third, bark, loudly。

3.全体学生能运用He is playing the suona, but the phone rings.这类语句来谈论正在做一件事情时，另一件事情同时发生。

4.继续对英语产生浓厚的兴趣，能积极参与课堂学习活动，并能在小组合作中与其他同学积极配合，建立自信。

5.培养学生自主学习，合作学习的能力，以及积极参加语言交流，用英语思维的能力。

Ⅰ.Warm-up and lead-in 热身导入

1．Greetings

T: Class begins! Good morning boys and girls. Ss: Good morning Ms Song. T: How are you?

I’m fine, too. Thank you. 2.Sing a poem on PPT with the children. T: Boys and girls, let’s say the poem, OK? Ss: OK! Play Module 7 Unit 2 Activity 4. T: You did a good job! 【设计意图】师生亲切问候，齐唱韵诗，调整学生情绪，引导学生集中注意力。播放韵诗的视频，让学生在有利于英语教学的课堂氛围中学习英语。

Show the task of this lesson and lead in T：The dogs are not happy, but Daming is happy. Because today is Daming’s birthday, Simon and his friends are having a birthday party for Daming. Daming is playing the suona, but something always happens. In our daily life, we often face such situation: when one thing is happening, but another thing happens, how to describe? So, this class: We’ll learn to talk about interruptions(打断，中断），when something is happening, another thing

suddenly interrupts. Then we’ll talk about our party. （将本课任务呈现在大屏幕上，加深学生对任务的理解，也照顾了听力欠佳的学生的情况。）

So today, Let’ s learn Module 5 Unit 1 He is playing the suona, but the phone rings. Today we have four groups. If you behave well, you’ll get 1 mark for your group. At the end of our class, if you get higher marks, you can get more chances in the task completion. 【设计意图】明确本节课的学习任务及运用任务，出示课题。

3. Read and answer the questions.

T: Yes. One thing is happening, another thing happens, we can use “but” to connect. 当一件事情正在发生时,另一件事情也发生了,用现在进行时+一般现在时进行描述，中间用but连接。
