The topic in this unit is food and the naturalness of the dialogue made the knowledge so true to life of students. At the first period of this unit, students learn to communicate about the need of food with the new words and sentence pattern. The students in grade five are interested in English learning. They tend to learn English in a relaxing atmosphere and in the way of various games and activities. In the past, they have learned the similar sentence pattern “What do you have?” and they are easy to use new sentence pattern “What do they need?” to learn the new knowledge. 1、

Knowledge objectives: be able to learn the new words and sentence pattern: “juice/rice/salt/sugar/meat/vegetable/ fruit”& “What do they need? They need some...”

从展示和介绍自己的学校入手，让引导学生一步步进入本课的食物话题。健康的食物为我们的体魄和运动提供能量。展现食物金字塔给学生，让学生初步感知话题。
