In this class, I’ll present the knowledge of period 1, they’re 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a and 2b. In this lesson, we are going to talk about why Mr. Brown felt unhappy to present the key point of the lesson, that is “

Linking Verbs + adj.”

And learn the new linking verb----seem. We’ll review the knowledge about expressing likes and dislikes with love, favorite and like…best. In 2a ,we’ll mainly learn to observe the words in groups, and try to use the correct form of –ed and –ing. After leaning this lesson, the students are able to deal with personal feeling properly. Ⅱ.Teaching Aims:

1. Knowledge aims:

(1) Learn the usage of the new linking verb, seem; (2)Use the adjectives ending with –ed and –ing correctly; (3)Talk about feelings freely with the structure of “linking verb+adj.”

Step 1 Review

1. Getting students ready for learning. Greeting students to warm up the class. 2. Look at some pictures and lets students say out the feelings to review the words about feelings and the structure of “Linking Verbs+ adj.”. Present the new words “seem”. 3.Answer the questions on PPT to review the knowledge in Section A. Step 2 Presentation

1. Listen to 1a for the first time and match the pictures of their favorite things with the names. 2. Listen to 1a again and mark T (True) or F (False), finish 1b and check the answers. 3. Watch the flash of 1a and further understand it., then read 1a after the flash. Step 3 Consolidation

1. Show the key sentences in 1a in Chinese and let students say out the sentences quickly. 2. Group work. Retell 1a according to the key points in 1c. Then link them together to form a short passage. Finish 1c. Step 4 Practice

1. Read the words in 2a, paying attention to the stress and the underlined parts. 2. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the given words in 2b. Understand the adjectives ending with –ed and –ing. Finish 2b. Step 5 Project
