《The Big Pot》绘本教学

教学目标:《The Big Pot》绘本的阅读。
教学内容:jog, hop, ox, fox, pot, dot, log 《The Big Pot》
The fox jogs with the ox. The fox sees a big pot. The fox hops and hops. The ox sees a a log. The ox is on the log. The ox cannot look in the pot. The fox is on the ox. The fox looks in the pot. A dog is in the pot. The dog has dots. The dog is with his mom. Thank you, fox and ox.
能力目标 -- 在掌握“o”发音的基础上进行自主阅读。
情感目标 -- 通过了解故事内容,让孩子Try to be helpful and thankful.
一.Pre-reading 1.老师出场跟孩子们打招呼,问一些日常的口语问题来缓解孩子们的紧张情绪,拉近师生间的距离。
T:Good morning, boys and girls. What’s your name?/ How are you today? /How old are you?/ What color do you like?...
2.玩一个动起来的热身游戏,我说和做,孩子们也跟着我说和做。
T:Clap, clap. Ss: Clap, clap.
(同样方式做以下动作:sing, dance, run, jog, hop) 3. 问孩子们喜欢什么动物。再让孩子们问回我, 引出故事的主人公ox和fox.并引出jog, 然后引导孩子们一起jog带出pot的图片并引出故事的标题。
T: What animal do yo like? Do you know what animal I like? T: What’s this? --- Ox. What’s this?--- Fox. T: What can they do?---Run. They can run slowly, that means they can jog. T: Let’s jog with the fox and ox. T: What can you see?---pot---big or small?---big T: Today, Ms Luo will share a story with you, a big pot.

播放“Help”的音效,让孩子们猜猜pot里面有什么,激起孩子们兴趣。
二.
While-reading
1.
观看完整动画,让学生去了解pot里有什么动物。学习单词dots并解决难点dots,并且让学生去思考哪些动物也有dots T: Ok, let's watch the story together. T: What’s in the pot? --- a dog. What color is it? --- Black and white. Big or small?---small. T: What’s this? --- a dot---some dots.---What else animals have dots, too?
2.
播放fox在跳的动画。引出hop. 学生跟读“The fox hops and hops”然后老师问Can the fox look in the pot?再请两个孩子带着fox的头饰上来跳。T: We cannot look in the pot, why? Because the pot is very big. So, how can the fox and the ox look in the pot? (板书How的单词)T: What does the ox see? --a log(让他们拼一下,
l,o,g,log)(画log简笔画在黑板) .So, first, the ox sees a log.(句条板书在黑板)
3.
通过刚才掌握的拼读技巧,以及老师辅助的提问,让学生打开纸质绘本书进行自主阅读学习。老师通过板书、简笔画以及第三部分主要内容动画的呈现和跟读,帮助学生梳理绘本内容。
T: Then, what else can they do?(把2,3的序号写好,让他们知道还有两步。) T: Take out your books and find out. 他们找到答案后,我分别把答案词条2,3板书在黑板,边贴边带读一遍,再分别画出简笔画。(通过简笔画,完整呈现故事主要内容)
(这里注意孩子说错顺序的应变。“Where is the ox?”)
再播放动画,让孩子们跟读一遍
T: Can they look in the pot, now? Who is in the pot?-- It's a dog.(解决之前抛出的问题)
T: They send the dog home, and the dog is with his mom. What does mom say?---thank you, fox and ox.--- When people help you, you should say, thank you.

总结单词,总结字母o的发音规律。

分小组读书,再跟录音读。

做排序练习,形成一个chant,在一起唱一唱。

尝试一起复述故事。
三.
Post-reading 1.
引导学生从绘本的结尾去体会感恩和表达感谢,让学生思维发散一下,想想救出狗的具体方法,延伸出绘本中没有呈现的内容。
T: What does the mother dog say? yes, she says thank you, fox and ox. She is very thankful. Why does she say thank you to ox and fox? because they help the baby dog out of the pot. OK, Boys and girls, think, how do they help the dog? You can say it in English or in Chinese. (学生可用中文,我当场用英语翻译一下)
2.欣赏一首与绘本故事内容相关的歌曲,在欢快的音乐中结束课堂。
T: Now, Ms O has a song about this story. let's enjoy it. ( 故事里自带的歌曲 )
