Step1

Warm up 1.

Review the rhyme Students say the rhyme together. 2.

T: In the cartoon, what clothes does Helen have? Students choose jacket, skirt, cap and T-shirt. Step2

Pre-reading 1.

Let’s learn T:Can you name more clothes?

Teacher show the students coat, ask the class what is it? (教授coat) Teacher go to one student, point at her dress and ask the students what is it ?(教授dress) Teacher go to another student, point at his trousers and ask the students is it a T-shirt? Students say no.(教授trousers) Teacher show the students gloves and teach gloves. 2.

Let’s think Teacher ask why do gloves, trousers have “s” in the end? Help the students find the rules in plural form.

Fun time Students speak out the words loudly . Such as Dress, dress, try this or Trousers, trouser, try these and so beautiful when seeing the angel. 4.

Guessing time Teacher ask why is Helen dressing like a angel? Students say because she is going to a party.(教授party) Teacher show the students what a fancy dress party is. Step 3

While-reading 1.

Watch and answer Teacher ask how about Helen’s party?

Students watch the cartoon and answer the question “What clothes do they choose

Scene 1(Prepare for the party) 1). Listen and choose (Picture 1-3) 2). When not suitable, what suggestions do they give?

Scene 2 (At the party) 1). Read and underline

Students try to find and underline the sentences “Whose gloves are these? They’re my fathers.” And “Whose dress is this? It’s my cousin’s.”

Teacher show the usage of cousin and ’s.(解释名词所有格’s用法) 2). Learn to say
