教学目标：

学情分析：

六年级的学生通过三年多的英语学习，已具备了一定的语言基础和良好的口语表达能力，但随着知识点难度的加大，兴趣逐渐减弱，说写能力还有待加强。高年级学生喜欢直观形象思维，对小组竞赛特别感兴趣，善于与同学交流，乐于表达自己，渴望得到同学和老师的赞扬。

教学重点难点：

1.重点：掌握新单词或词组：Tree Planting Day/plant trees/keep us cool/keep the air clean/make the place beautiful 2. 难点：用"Trees can ..."描述植树给我们的生活带来的影响。

教学步骤：

Step One: Warm-up

1. Greetings; 2. Free talk: T: What's the weather like today? S: It's sunny. T: What season is it now? S: It's spring now. T: Yes, spring is warm and nice. There are many beautiful flowers and green trees.

Step Two: Presentation and drill

1. T : Do you like trees? S: Yes, I like trees. T: I like trees, too. Trees are important for us. Planting trees is good for us. 2. T: Look at the children. What are they doing? They are planting trees. T: We usually plant trees on Tree Planting Day. When is Tree Planting Day? S: Tree Planting Day is on 12th March. (Teach : plant trees/ Tree Planting Day.) 3. T: Look at these two pictures. Are they same? S: No, they are different.

T: Yes, the air in Picture One is clean, but the air in Picture Two is bad. Do you know why? S: There are more trees in Picture One. T: So trees can keep the air clean. (Teach: keep the air clean.) 4. T: Look! The weather in Picture One is cool, but the weather in Picture Two is hot. Do you know why? S: There are more trees in Picture One. T: Trees can keep us cool. (Teach: keep us cool.) 5. T: Look at this picture. Is this place beautiful? S: No, it isn’t.

T: Let’s plant more trees in this place. Is this place beautiful now? S: Yes, it is. T: So trees can make the place beautiful. (Teach: place/ make the place beautiful) 6. Game: Quick Response.

Step Three: Practice 1.T: We have learnt the benefits of planting trees. Let’s practice the dialogue.
