第1课时教学目标：

1. 能在宠物店挑选宠物的情境中感知、理解并正确朗读宠物类单词parrot，tortoise，以及宠物食物类单词bones，cat food, dog food, fish等; 2. 能尝试运用It does…如: It likes…或It eats... 并结合已学句型It is…或It can…来描述各种宠物的特点；

3. 能综合不同人的需求以及各种宠物的特点做出判断，为别人选择宠物提出合理的建议；

4. 能在学习宠物特点的过程中感受人与动物之间的感情。

通过演唱歌曲，活跃课堂气氛，引入主题。并激发学生学习的积极性。

根据学生现有的基础，着两个学生相对陌生的单词。

通过角色扮演表演Shop assistant，在语境中巩固、熟练对不同宠物特点的理解,加强语用。

学生通过阅读了解人们的需求，并结合在这节课学到的不同宠物的特点进行分析和推断，从而提出自己的建议。一方面提高英语的综合表达能力，另一方面发展思维能力。

通过看动物的部位以及听声音回顾核心单词parrot、tortoise等。

食物，达到运用关键句型It eats……的作用。

综合运用本课所学，联系自身说一说自己想要养的2-5. Explain the meaning of bird food. food和dog food做准备。
