Unit6 How do you feel Teaching procedures: Step1. Greeting

T: Good morning, class. I’m Lily.

Ss: Good morning, Lily.

T: Nice to meet you.

Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

Can you? Oh, you look happy. How about you? Oh, you look happy too. How

about the others? Can you smile like this? You all look happy. So now, let’s

enjoy a happy song. Please look at here. Step2. Warm-up

(1)Enjoy the “happy song”.

(2)T points to Sarah, and asks: “Who is this?”

Ss: She is Sarah.

T: Yes. And firstly, she is very happy. But when Sam eats all the popcorns,

she is very angry. Because Sarah is angry with Sam, Sam is afraid and sad. Please look at here, Sam is in the sad house, can you help him to get to the

happy house? I think you can. If you do well in this class, you can help him

to go a step. And how about you are the red helper, you are the… I’ll see

which is the most helpful group, and you can get your gift. Step3. Lead-in T: This is a story about Sarah and Sam. I also have a story about Sarah and

Step4. Presentation & Practice (1)angry & afraid A)T shows a picture of rainy day and tells a story like this: “It’s raining today.

Sarah and the cat are at home. Suddenly …” Then show another picture of

Sarah and the cat, and say: “Oh, the cat breaks the cup. Sarah is …”

B)T teaches spelling the word “angry”, then asks a student to read it, the

others

follow. After that, follow the recording. Read in groups, louder and louder.

C)Look at the PPT again, T asks: “Who is angry?”

Ss: Sarah is angry.

T: Yes, and how about this cat? What’s wrong with it? Sarah is angry with

it, so the cat is afraid.

Firstly, follow the recording. T teaches spelling the word “afraid”,

then

asks

a student to read it, the others follow. Read in groups, louder and louder.

D)T: Can you describe this picture now? Maybe we can describe it like this.

(Play the recording.)

Ss: Sarah is angry, the cat is afraid.

T: How about this? What’s this? Yeah, it’s a bird, and it is…

S: It is angry.

(Show other pictures and Ss try to talk about feelings.)

(2)T: The sheep are afraid, and Sarah’s cat is afraid, too. So it goes out, but it’s

raining outside. What happens to it?
