Step 1 Warm-up

Greetings and a little chant using TPR.

Step 2 Presentation

1.New words

From what we do everyday, try to comprehend the different things which we can do on different days. Then, we can get the new words from Sunday to Saturday.

Secondly, introduce the words day, today, and week. At the same time, introduce our new sentence pattern:

Let’s count from Sunday to Saturday. How many days are there in a week? Right! There are seven days in a week.

But, here, today is Friday!

Step 3 Practice

Today, I wear a black dress. Today, I wear a pair of brown shoes. What day is today? It’s Friday!

Now, we can make sentences like me, and using the new word “today”.

Discuss the sentences with your partners and then try to say them before the class.

Step 4 Drill

1.One by one and compete the game.

“I wear …. What do you wear?”

2.The five vowels based on a certain kind of rules.

Step 5 Homework

1.Please preview part 2 in our text.

2.Sing our week song to your parents.
