Step1 lead-in Watch a video about the Tour de France and lead in new lesson.

Step2 While-reading 1. Know different kinds of bicycle sports by showing some pictures to the students on PPT. 2. Read the two passages in 1a and mark Q for the sentences that describe the

Tour of Qinghai Lake and

F for the Tour de France. 3. Learn the new words: mile, stage, Asia ,then

ask some students to

check the answer. 4.Read the two passages again and choose the correct answers on PPT to finish task2.

5. Work in groups to read 1a and find out the difficult points, then discuss in groups to explain them. If there is something that all of the students can’t explain well, the teacher will give some help.
