Step 1:Warm-up 1. Greetings. 2. Sing a song: Happy New Year. 【设计意图】通过歌曲热身,调动学生积极性,同时引出New Year,为后文教学Chinese New Year和Spring Festival做铺垫。

Learn:Chinese 2.
Learn : The Spring Festival
(出示卡片教词组the Spring Festival,一拍即合进行操练
)

揭示课题
T: The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. So today we are going to learn Unit 8 …(引导学生说the Spring Festival Part A) 【设计意图】由Chinese New Year 引出Spring Festival,并揭示课题,让学生知道今天的学习目标。
Step 3:Presentation
1.Free talk and learn “spend”.
(出示卡片spend,数次数进行操练,1,2,3,2,4) 【设计意图】Free talk 激活学生已有知识,联系实际。
2.
Watch a video and choose the right pictures. 【设计意图】初读课文,选择正确的图片。
3. Learn “have a family dinner”,并板书。
(先教family,然后引出词组,two by two操练)

Learn “make rice cakes”,并板书
(由cake 引出make 的发音,Dance with the card 操练) 5.Learn “make dumplings”,并板书
(大小声进行操练)

Game:Sharp eyes T: Now let’s play a game:sharp eyes.
【设计意图】逐个呈现词组,并采用不同的形式进行操练,加深学生印象。利用游戏巩固复习所学词组。
Step 4:Practice
1.
Lucky cracker操练句型How do you spend it? We ____. 2.
Say a chant: How do you spend it? 3.
Listen and repeat. 4.
Fill in the blanks. (全班齐读) 5.
Role play. 【设计意图】在问答中继续巩固操练词组和句子。Lucky cracker的游戏能增加操练的刺激性。
Step 5:Consolidation & Extension. Say something about the festivals and then write it down. 【设计意图】根据图片和提示,描述节日,由说过渡到写,逐步培养学生的读写的能力。
Step 6:Homework 1.
Listen and repeat the text. 2.
Finish the Activity Book (Unit 8 Part A). 3.
Talk about festivals.
