第五课时

一、教学目标

1.语言知识目标:(1)词汇：London, Shanghai, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, underground, metro, subway, MTR, MRT (2)句型：There are different names for the subway all over the world.

2. 语言能力目标： (1)听:能听懂文中国家名字和地铁的不同称法的内容。

(2)说：能说国家名字和地铁的称法。

(3)读：能读懂短文内容，了解国家名字和地铁的不同称法，培养一些阅读技巧。

(4)写：能正确写出短文中问题的答案。

3. 情感态度目标：通过学习短文，了解国家名字和地铁的不同称法。

二、教学重点、难点

通过阅读短文，能了解国家名字和地铁的不同称法。

2. 教学难点：掌握国家名字和地铁的不同称法。

三、教学准备

ppt，单词卡片，句子卡片，学生使用练习纸等等。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warm- up （Before reading）

1、Sing the song: Every day I take the bus. T: Hi，class. Let’s sing: Every day I take the bus (多媒体播放P52的song activity内容). 【设计意图】吸引学生进入课堂，活跃课堂气氛。

2、Let’s play a game: Sharp eyes.

Let the students say out the phrases quickly. 3、Greetings and free talk T: Good morning. Boys and girls. How do you go to school? Ss: I take a bus/ ride a bike/take a taxi/walk to school.... 【设计意图】通过与学生交谈，为下面的阅读做铺垫。

Step 2

Lead-in

1、(ppt出现一幅广州地铁站的图片，引导学生观看图片) 2、T: Look at the picture. It’s a subway station. What can you see in the picture?(引出subway)

Ss: I can see the subway.

3、T: Yes, we can take a subway in Guangzhou. Do you know there are different names for the subway all over the world.(学习句子There are different names for the subway all over the world.) 4、

分别出示London,Shanghai,HongKong,Singapore,New York的图片，并分别教它们。

【设计意图】这个环节通过由内到外的发散，以subway话题为主，让学生看图说出词汇，及复习一些旧知识，又激发学生学习的兴趣及培养学生的发散性思维。

Step 3

Presentation(While reading) 1、学生看图（ppt出现）

T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a subway?

T: There are different names for the subway all over the world. Let’s see what they are.

2、The first reading: Listen and read. T: Let’s learn something about the names of subway. Please listen and read. After listening, try to finish exercise2 at page 55. 【设计意图】让学生带着任务听录音，培养学生以听获取关键信息的技巧，同时让学生整体理解语篇。

3、The second reading: Read silently. T: Now please open your books at page 54. Read the passage for the second time. After reading,read and match at page 55.（

学生默读短文，然后在课本完成练习。接着教师与大家一起对答案。）

【设计意图】通过第二遍阅读，学生对课文内容进行连线，检查学生的理解。

7．The third reading: Read after the teacher.

(1) Read after the teacher.

(2) Finish the exercise。

( ppt呈现练习)

(3) Check the answers and solve some problems. 【设计意图】首先通过跟读，纠正发音，然后完成书本练习，检查学生回答问题的能力及对更多交通标志的理解能力。

8. The fourth reading: Read aloud 三人一个小组大声朗读短文，教师抽查。

【设计意图】通过三人小组活动，学生操练语言，内化语言，在这过程中，培养学生之间的合作精神。

【设计意图】出示不同的交通工具，开拓学生的视野。
