教学目标：

1.

学生能通过阅读趣味故事，复习巩固本单元所学语言，增加语言输入。

2.

学生能够理解故事内容，流畅的朗读故事。

3.

能够表演故事，运用故事中的语言。

4.

情感教育：了解小松鼠尾巴的作用，意识到不同的身体部位都有各自的作用，要珍惜爱护自己的身体。

教学重难点：

本单元所学的语言，句型，词汇，学会并掌握描述自己爱好和提问他人爱好的目标语言；

了解本文中心思想，能够朗读并演绎故事。

教学教具：

词卡，头饰，PPT 教学过程：

Step I: Warm up

and lead in

Play a guessing game : show pictures of animals’ tails and ask questions: Whose tail is it? Ss: It’s a monkey’s tail

Whose tail is it? Ss: It’s a rabbit’s tail. It’s a short tail.

Whose tail is it? Ss: It’s a squirrel’s tail.It’s very big and bushy. T: Well done. Today we will learn a story about squirrel’s tail, Let’s watch a video and observe its tail,OK? Ss: OK! Step II:Skimming

Have a quick look about the story, try to read it ,and try to find what it is talking about. T: What’s the squirrel’s tail like? Ss: It’s bushy. T: What happened?Let’s find out! Step III: Scanning

Show the pictures of each parts. Let the students guess what they are going to say in the situation and ask some students to act the situation. Then write down the key clue on the blackboard. Ask some questions about the pictures: Picture 1: Where do they live?

Ss: They lives in the forest. Picture 2: What are Zac’s hobbies?

Ss: He likes singing and dancing.

What’s the monkey king’s hobby? Ss: he likes reading books.

Picture 3:Zac likes…../The monkey king doesn’t like…. Picture 4:What happened?

Ss: Zac sang, the monkey was angry, he threw Zac out of the tree Picture 5: What’s the difference?

Ss: Zac’s tail become bushy. Let the student review the story try to fill the blanks. Step IV: Summary and act Show the whole story, let the student try to retell the story according the key clues. Ask some students to act the story. Step V:Extension Picture 6: Is it a true story? No, it isn’t. Let’s watch a video about the functions of squirrel’s tail. Explain the functions. Emotional education: Different body parts has different functions, we should cherish our body ,try to make full use of their functions. Step VI: Homework 1.Read the story . 2.Act the story in a group. 3.Do a research about the functions of animals' body parts .
