Teaching Aims: 1、Enable students to master the key words. Communicate with friends use “keep ..clean”

“take care of ...”. 2、Enable students to understand how to protect the earth. “Throw trash in the trash can”

“Keep the river clean.”

3、Enable students to experience the atmosphere and know more about Western Christmas culture. 4、Enable students to enjoy English class and love speaking English.

Teaching Strategy: 1. Watch videos about the Earth, it can bring more atmosphere to the class and arouse student’s interest. 2. Review words through questions by guessing and thinking. 3. Learning the sentence structures by protecting the earth which applies task-based language teaching method. 4. Inspire student’s environmental awareness and love through video watching and thinking.

Teaching Difficulties: Use the words and sentences in real life.

Teaching Process: Ⅰ. Warm-up & Lead-in. T: What day is it today? S: Today is Tuesday in April. T: Great! And today I pick eight leaves for you. Four yellow and four blue,it means different question. You can choose one and answer the question. Ss: Ok. T shows PPT.

S1: I choose No.4 yellow leaf /.......

Ⅱ. Presentation & Practice. 1、T plays the video of the Earth. T: So, who can tell me, what can you see? S: The earth. T puts the picture of the Earth on the blackboard. T: YES, it is the earth. T brings out the word card and lead students to read, pay attention to the pronunciation of “the”, “th”. T: well, look at this picture. Is it beautiful? Is it clean? Is it colorful? Can you see something about the earth. Read after ... S1: look at the earth, it is beautiful. S2: look at the earth, it is a circle. S3: look at the earth, it is clean.

T: Do you like the Earth? Ss: Of course.

B.

listen and judge T:We’re talking about the Earth. My friend and I are talking about the earth,too.Listen carefully and try to find what are the green parts,brown parts and blue parts? It’s the earth. The green parts and the brown parts are forests and grassland. What are the blue parts? I think they are oceans. The blue parts are oceans. They are beautiful and clean. T: what color can you hear？

S1:I hear yellow. S2:I hear blue and brown. T puts color white, red and green on the blackboard. T: what are they？

S1:The green part is forest. S2:The brown part is grassland. S3:The blue part is ocean. T puts color word card(forest,grassland and ocean) on the blackboard. T: Wow, you’re very imaginative! So can you tell me are they right? The brown part is grassland. The blue part is sky. Read together and judge. S: First sentence is right. The second sentence is wrong.The blue part is ocean.

Let’s play look at the picture and say something. T: There are three pictures.Which one do you like ? Do you like the ocean? Stand up please. There are xx students like ocean.let’s listen to them. T plays ppt with music. Ss who like ocean stand up. Ss: Fish live in the ocean. Whales live in the ocean. Sharks live in the ocean. Turtles live in the ocean. Jellyfish live in the ocean.

T:Well done. Ocean is beautiful. Forest is beautiful,too. Many animals live in the forest,can you guess what is it? S:deer/monkey/bird/pig/crocodile/... T:let’s check. It’s a bear! ____ and _____ live in forest. Introduce the words with pictures. Make students pay more attention to the pronunciation of the letter “a” in the word “cat” and the pronunciation of the letter “o” in the word “dog”. Let students try to spell the word. Introduce the words with riddles. Let students try to guess. Then make sure that students clear the

pronunciation. Then stick the cards on the blackboard. And read them one by one.

T plays a video of grassland. T: Are they sad? Are they happy? Why? S:They are happy. Because they are playing. T: Yes,they are happy. They are playing,sleeping. The grassland is their home. Do they like their home? S: yes, they do.

D.Watch a video about protect environment. T:The earth is home to all of us, but there is a problem the earth faces, let’s watch a short video about that. T: What’s the problem with earth? Ss: Because of white pollution. T:What caused white pollution? Ss: Plastics…

F. Let’s take action T: What should we do to take care of the ocean? Ss: Refuse White Pollution T: How to refuse White Pollution ? T shows pictures or cards and let students say the words. Give the pictures to the one who said best or the most quickly. Then let students stick the pictures under the words.

Let’s talk. T: Some animals live in the ocean.Some animals live in the forest.Some animals live in the grassland. We all live on the earth. My favorite animal

is bear. They are clever. I want to say some sentences about my favorite animal. If I were a bear. I want to live in the forest. I want to eat fish. It's my home. Let's take care of the forest. T：i want you complete the sentences. If I were a lion/dog/cat/.... I want to live in . I want to eat /run/ fly/.... It's my home. Let's take care of _______.

Blackboard Design:

Homework: 1.Invite your classmates and friends to be protectors of the Earth. 2.Make a list about how to take care of the Earth, and do it from now on.

教学反思：

本节课是第一单元的复习课。主要目标是帮助学生在具体的语境中感悟、理解。为了能调动学生学习的积极性，提高课堂教学的趣味性，完成教学目标，在设计这节课时，将其整编为一个探索的活动，从而帮助学生在贴近真实生活的有趣的语境中学习、练习、巩固、应用单词。

通过本课所学，学生知道了地球是我们的家园，同时知道保护海洋就是保护我们的家园。学生能够描述不同的动物和人类居住在地球上不同的地方，但是在表达…live/lives in…时，依然会出现错误，仍需课堂上针对该句型做系统练习；同时由于小组合作问题，个别学生课堂纪律不是很好，主要由于奖评机制欠缺，组内分工不细致；最大的问题是课堂互动以师生互动为主，需要在今后的课堂上多将课堂还给学生，更多生生互动的形式。
