Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

1.T: Today we have a new classroom, Some things are special. You see DV here. I feel happy. How about you? How are you today?

2. T: (Please don’t be shy or nervous. )Today is a good time for you to show your English. (bb show).Let’s have an English show, Be happy and be great!

Step 2 Presentation

1.T: (PPT) Who’s the girl? Show your English, talk about Yang Ling, please.

2.Let’s know more about Yang Ling. Today Yang Ling has a show too.

What kind of show? Listen (生汉语齐答) it’s a fashion show. Look, Yang Ling and her mum are talking about the fashion show. Guess, What will they say? Discuss with your partners first.

3.T: I think Yang Ling wants to be great in the fashion show. Let’s help her, ok? Look so many clothes. Please say “look at the…, try please ”to give Yang Ling some help.

Ss: Look at the…... try please! (To review the words about clothes they had learned before)

4.T: Thanks for your help. What clothes will Yang Ling try on? Let’s watch the cartoon.

5.Watch the cartoon and answer the question. (Bb T-shirt skirt cap)(Read )Hoe does Yang Ling say?( bb and Read)

6.Yang Ling says “Look at my….” How about you? You can say “Look at my…”(生说师评价)

7.T: Look at Yang Ling. What do you want to say? Thanks for your praise. Mum is praising her too. What does Mum say?

8.Read and find

How does Mum praise her T-shirt? (To teach bb It’s nice!)

T: Nice Nice to meet you.

How does Mum praise her skirt? (To teach bb How nice!)

How How are you?

How does Mum praise her cap? (To teach bb It’s great!)

8. Now do you know how to praise? Read it together.

9.T: Yang Ling has a fashion show, She shows her T-shirt, skirt and cap. Mum praises her ‘it’s nice! How nice! It’s great!’ How does Yang Ling feel? (bb happy) So at last Yang Ling says….(To teach bb Look at me !) How to say this sentence? You see Everything is OK, nice and great ! What does Mum say? (bb Great!)

10.N ice, great, what else can we say? (pretty, beautiful, good, well done, cool )

11.师举例引导:Look at the boy. (Cool tall)

Look at me!(beautiful happy)

12.Y ou have done very well. Now it’s our reading time.

Read after the story. Read in roles. Read in pairs.

Step 3 Consolidation

1. Yang Ling has a fashion show, She’s happy. Bobby’s mum is happy too. Why is she so happy?

1.Watch the cartoon (cartoon time)

T: Why is bobby’s mum happy? What does she have? (T-shirt skirt) T: Is she still happy at last? (Open your book and read the story)

What does she say? How does dad say? Does Dad know the colour of the T-shirt? What colour is Mum’s T-shirt?

Why is dad wrong?

T: Mum is angry. You see not every time nice great can make us happy. Praise should be from your heart.

When you praise, you also can give your ideas.

2.Show time

T: Boys and girls, today we have learned how to show and how to praise. When we show we can say…, when we praise we can say…Yang Ling has a fashion show. How about your fashion show? Well it’s your show time. Work in groups and act out the short play and try to show and praise. Don’t forget the sentences here(提示学生可以用以前学过的句型) You are great in the fashion show. What else can we show?

3.T: Show, praise make us happy. (What else can make you happy?) Be happy and be great forever!
