一、教学目标：

1.在故事情景中练习胖瘦、高矮的单词fat, thin, tall , short，学会用and连接两个形容词。

2.能够运用所学句型Look at that....It’s (so) ...! 描述动物的特征。

2.初步感知Do you want to .....？询问别人的意愿。

3.通过故事教学，让孩子们明白不以貌取人的情感态度。

1.在情景中运用

2.如何通过故事的学习培养孩子不以貌取人的情感态度。

3.PPT及教学光盘. 五、课前活动：

看完视频后教师提问

学生回答后，出示动物图片

Step2. Presentation and practice

一. 引入故事

1. 出示鸭子的图片，复习单词

T: What’s this?

Ss: Duck.

T: Yes, it’s a duck. Look at the duck, it's fat?

It's____ . It's tall? It's_____.

T: Read the words quickly.（快速闪读）

2. 播放教学视频

T: Today we'll learn a story about this short and thin duck.

Do you want to know?

Let's watch. 二. 文本学本

1.学习对话一

播放视频后提问: Is the duck happy?

T:

Is the duck happy? (No)Why?

So she goes to find friends.

T: Look, who is coming first?

Ss:

Cat . T:

What does the duck say? Let's listen.播放对话一

1）学习Hi, cat.

Do you want to be my friend?齐读、分组读、个人读. 2

T：Listen, what does the cat say?

出示猫的答语：I’m so fat. You are so thin. Go , go , go . 老师教读，注意加强so的语气。

分组读、请生模仿读。

（2）齐读对话、分男女进行角色扮读、请生扮读。

2.学习对话二

T：

So the duck walks and walks . who is coming this time？

Ss:

Giraffe. T：

What will happen?

Let’s look. (1)出示鸭对长劲鹿说的话：

Hi, giraffe. Do you want to be my friend? 跟读、组读、个人读。

出示长劲鹿的回答: I’m so tall. You are so short . Go , go , go . 请生模仿读。

3.学习对话三

（1）

播放熊的声音问请生猜是什么动物。

T：The duck walks and walks.

Who is coming？A tiger? An elephant?

请学生猜想。

出示熊的图片和句子：

A bear. 带感情地读两遍。

分析熊的特征，

出示look at the bear. It’s _____.请生回答后出示Wow! It’s tall and fat. 教读。

T:Look at the bear, it's fat? it's tall? 3

Wow, it's tall and fat. 教读。

（2）出示对话框，请生回答后出示文本，请生跟读。

（3）双人练习并进行角色扮演

Step3: Role play.

1. 出示问题：

What will happen next? 并提供两个选择，让孩子作为参考。

T: What will happen next？Find a friend or become a swan? (教读swan两遍) Discuss in group and create the ending of the story .
