Period One

Step One: Warming-up. 1. Warm up -- Do and chant. One two three four five, once I caught a fish alive. Six seven eight nine ten, then I let it go again. Why did you let it go? Because it bit my finger so. Which finger did it bite? This little finger on my right. Step Two: Presentation. 1. Teach the numbers from one to ten. 2. Set up a situation “Happy Birthday” to lead in the conversation. G: How old are you, Tony?

1. Teaching the target. 1) Point to a students and ask: How old are you? If he / she can’t answer, help them answer: I’m ...(eight) write the sentences on the blackboard . Then read in group.

2) Pair work. Ask and answer in pairs like this:

1. Learn the Alphabet 1) Listen, point and say. Write Mm, Nn, Oo on the board and have Ss read them. Read after the teacher: M m /m/, M m /m/, monkey, monkey, monkey.
