Step 1：Warm up 1. Greetings Read the title of Unit 10.

2. Read the riddles and guess. 3. Listen and repeat the dialogue of Listen and say. 4. Talk about the dialogue. T : What great invention does Kitty/ Peter/ Alice know? Why does he/ she think so? What is Joe going to invent? How can people use the flying bike? 5. T : Do you know any great inventions in the world? S1：I think the _____ is a great invention. People can _________ with / in it .

Step 2：Presentation 1. Introduce the flying and its inventors. 2. Watch the video of the story. Then answer the questions: 1). What do the Wright brothers want to do?

-They want to fly. 2). Can they fly like birds at first? - No, they can’t. 3). What should they invent? - They should invent a flying machine. 3. Listen and read the dialogue.Then ask volunteers to repeat the sentences one by one. 4. T: How do the Wright brothers invent the flying machine? Read and put the sentences in order. 5. Read the story in pairs.

Step 3: Consolidation 1. Try to fill in the blanks and complete the story. 2. Listen and enjoy. 3. Ask and answer : What are you going to invent? Why? Homework：
