Step1 Leading in

Enjoy a short vedio.

Step2 Pre- reading

1. Guide the students to answer the question: Most of us like traveling, but it will cost us much money to go on a trip. How can you get money?

2. Ask the students to use “We can do sth. to raise money”

to show their ideas.

3. Let the students finish 3a.

Step3 While-reading

1.

Ask the students to look at the picture of 1a and guess: What do they do to raise money? Then let the students watch the flash, answer two questions.

2.

Skimming. Read 1a quickly and silently, circle the new words, guess the meanings of the new words. Finish 1b.

3.Careful reading. Let the students read 1a in detail and solve the problems. Then the teacher asks the students to find out the structure to +V. in the passage.

4.Do some exercise.

Step4 Post-reading

Let the students discuss how to raise money and speak out more ideas. Then decide which is the best way to raise money. .
