What do you want to be? (Fun with Language) 乐贤坊小学

教学内容:这节课是11课的第二个课时Fun with language 部分。在第一课时里教师引导学生滚动复习了二年级学过的职业单词并指导学生学习了部分新的职业单词和U11的课文。
教学对象分析:四年级的学生,已基本形成英语的学习习惯,对英语学习有较浓的兴趣。随年级的增长, 英语单词增多, 学习内容难度加深。如何在这种情况下提高他们听说读写各项的能力及继续保持他们的学习兴趣呢?在课堂上以学生为主体,让学生在模拟真实的情景下进行自由说,两人练习,多人对话等活动,轻松的英语课堂气氛达到让孩子们自觉学习及使用语言的目的;在能力培养的练习中让他们掌握学习的策略,运用良好的学习方法较高质量地完成各项练习。
教学目标:

Language skills 1)
能在活动、游戏与任务中说出已学过的有关职业的单词。
2)
能在课堂中与同学或老师用简单的句型进行交流。
3)
能了解各种职业的职能,感受无论成为何种职业都能发挥自己的力量。

2) 能熟练地在情景中运用本课重点句型:

教学策略:
1. 使用多媒体课件贯穿课堂,协助课堂活动。
2. 以任务为主导,以活动为载体,以学生为中心,通过完成特定的交际活动促使学生语言交际能力的发展。
3. 多种的教学方式让学生自主参加交际性练习。
教学重、难点:
重点:巩固关于职业的单词及句型。
难点:运用重点句型进行交际性活动。
教学过程:
1.
Leading in (1)
Sight words. You, want, be, when, up, do, about, an, I, a, why, because (2)
Sing a song—What do you want to be? T: Here comes Ola, Lele, Pili and Laki. Let’s sing with them and see what they want to be when they grow up. Ola wants to be a doctor. Pili wants to be a driver. Lele wants to be a nurse. Laki wants to be a vet. (学习vet)\ (3)
Leading in T: Many pupils have dreams. Some of them want to be a teacher and help children. Some of them want to be a doctor or a nurse and help sick people. And some of them want to help people, so they want to be a policeman when they grow up. Children, do you have dreams? We will have a
dream party today. In the party, we will sing songs, play games, enjoy the story and the shows. (通过一首含有职业单词的儿童歌曲营造学习的气氛,引导学生复
习部分职业的单词和句型并进入今天的学习。)

Pre-task (1)
A spelling game.
What jobs can you see? Let’s play the game. Read the words and spell them. (2)
A guessing game. Get a piece of paper from the box. (Eg. Help children learn) Ask the group mates to guess what the job is.
Practise the sentence structure:
Are you a/an…? Yes, I am. No, I am not.

A fashion show Enjoy a fashion show and guess what they want to be when they grow up.
Practise the sentence structure:
Do you want to be a/an…? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
(通过游戏,提起学生学习的兴趣,复习及巩固了职业的单词与询问职业的有关句型)
3. While-task & Post-task (1)Listening exercise (P64) Tapescripts:
A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Jiamin? B: I want to be a cook. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Janet? B: I want to be a doctor. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Xiaoling? B: I want to be a teacher. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Ben? B: I want to be a policeman. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Bill? B: I want to be a reporter. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Tom? B: I want to be a builder. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Mike? B: I want to be a painter. A: What do you want to be when you grow up, Ann? B: I want to be a shop assistant. (通过听力练习,再一次复习了职业的单词,做练习之前提醒学生只能听两次,让学生精神高度集中,培养他们的专注力。) (2)Read a story book (Teacher acts the story) Hi, I am Amy. I have many dreams. I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I want to help sick people. I like children. I want to help them learn. I want to be a teacher when I grow up.
I am strong. I want to catch bad people. So I want to be a policeman when I grow up. I am good at building houses. I want to be a builder when I grow up. I like to fly high in the sky. I want to be a pilot when I grow up. I want to be a fisherman when I grow up. I want to catch fish for people. a)
Pupils read the story in groups and stick the missing sentences into the picture book. b)
Read the story together and enjoy the show. c)
Pick up the sentence structures from the story and lead to the writing exercise.

(3) Writing
a) Talk about your dream job in groups.
b) Writing exercises. (通过阅读故事书,再次巩固与本课内容相关的句型,让学生通过小组的活动进行听说练习并提取写作相关的句型,开展分层次的写作练习,让不同程度的学生都得到相应的发展。)
4. Homework. (1) Show your story with your friends. (2) Some exercises.
(通过学生感兴趣的作业让他们在真实的情景中自觉进行口语练习。)
