Ⅰ. Languages aims: 1.

Students can grasp information and the structure to make oral composition and to write composition about their school day in accordance to the mind-map (time table). 2.

Students will be able to use suitable adjectives, expression model and structure to describe (either to talk or to write) their school day, after learning to comprehend the main structure (the writing mind-map) and the main information of the writing-sample.

Ⅱ. Emotion aims: 1.

Through the group-work, let the students taste the happiness from sharing feelings with others and let them learn from each other. 2.

To encourage students to express,

to talk in English in class without caring about the errors.

Ⅳ. Teaching procedure Step1.

Revision:

Playing the game “Sharp-eyes”, the teacher leads the students to review the expression of the “Time” and the activities that they do every school day. Then from the revision, the teacher leads in the topic of today’s lesson. (The words in the period of revision are related to the writing task .)

Lead-in Lisa’s time table: (All of the students have their school day. Also, Lisa has her time table about her school day. Let’s have a look.) The teacher leads the students to read and comprehend the time table of Lisa’s school day. Unconciously, let the students grasp basically the structure of composition about school day and pave the way for the next procedure—asking the students to write down their time table, the mind-map for writing. 2.

Complete Lisa’s writing according to her time table:

(Group- work) (From the time table we can know that Lisa has busy school day. And today, Lisa has a task from her English teacher: Writing task---My school day. Lisa has finished it happily, but, the paper is dirty now, some words are missing. Can you help Lisa to complete her writing?) Giving out the work sheet with the time table of Lisa, the teacher gives the task for students to find out the suitable missing words of the composition. From reading and finding, let the students know which informations can be mentioned in the composition about “My school day” and pave the way to the writing task for the students. 3.Presentation about the writing sample

The teacher leads the students to grasp the main information and the main structure of the whole composition.

Step3. Writing task for the students 1.

Free-talk: According to the writing of Lisa, the teacher raises certain questions refers to the main content (related to the time and the activities they will do at that time)

Pair-work: After showing example, the teacher leads the students to talk about their school day; 3)

The teacher make a brief conclusion to help students memorize the structure and some useful hints for the writing task. Then encourages the students to write down their thought and complete the writing task with the topic: My school day. Step.4 Home work: 1.
