A Teaching Plan of Unit 6,Book1, Vocabulary &Target Title: Unit 6 Let’ Sing

Period: the first period Teaching Focus: Words & Sentences Teacher: Liu Ping from Xiqu Central Primary School, Zhongshan. 

Teaching aims I. Knowledge aims 1. Ss can listen, speak, read and write the new words: draw, fly, read, sing, cook ,swim...and read them correctly. 2. Ss can acquire others what they can do according “ Can you....” and answer by “Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.”

II. Language skills 1. Ss can use “can” to make sentences. 2. Ss can use “can” to talk about themselves. 3. Ss can use “can” to describe the animals and their classmates. III. Emotion aims 1. Students are able to cooperate with each other in groups. 2. Students are able to learn English actively and enjoyably. 

Learning strategies 1. Students are able to understand and read the new words by PPT. 2. Students are able to understand and use what they have learned to make a survey.



Teaching key and difficult points 1. Ss can listen, speak, read and write the new words: draw, fly, read, sing, cook ,swim...and read them correctly. 2. The pronunciation of “can’t”. 

Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in. T: Hello, boys and girls. I'm Susie. I can do many things. Do you want to know? Let's find out in this class. （设计意图：教师亲切的问候语，拉近师生距离。同时引出设问，吸引学生的好奇心和注意力，快速进入英语课堂的学习。）

Step 2 Presentation

1. Let’s listen to a song “I can draw”.

T: Yes, I can draw. Follow me. Draw, draw. d-r-a-w.

（设计意图：引入切合主题的英语歌曲，激发学生的学习兴趣，营造轻松快乐的学习气氛。通过真实情境和教师演示，有助于学生理解词汇含义和注意书写要点。）

2. T: Look, I can draw a bird. Birds can fly. Follow me. fly, fly. f-l-y. T: Birds can fly. But I can't fly. Can't, I can't fly. （设计意图：简笔画可以很轻松地拉近师生间的距离，把抽象的单词演绎得具体生动。）

3. T: But I can cook. Look, I can cook. Cook, c-o-o-k. T: oo /u/, oo /u/, /kuk/. Let's follow this video. Chant together.

（设计意图：情境教学cook，直观生动。卡通版的语音视频更能调动学生学习的积极性。）

4. T: What’s this? It’s an English book. Yes, I can read. Follow me, read, r-e-a-d. T: Reading is really good for us. We should read more. （设计意图：以设问与图片形式引入新单词的学习，渗透情感教育：多读书是有益处的。）

5. T: Look, what book is this? Oh, it's a music book. T: Yes, I can sing. sing, s-i-n-g. （设计意图：教师的歌声更能吸引学生的注意力，在欢乐的音乐里学习新单词。）

6. T: There's still a lot for me to learn, for example, swim. T: I can't swim. Can't, can't. I can't swim. Swim, s-w-i-m. （设计意图：情感升华，教育学生：学无止境，我们还要学习更多的技能。）
