课前反思：在前三单元的学习中，学生已经掌握了使用形容词对人物（家庭成

员）进行描述、句型及问答，这将有利于本课I have a new friend的学习。

教学目标：

知识目标： 1.To enable students listen, read and use the sentences : I have a new friend.Is she tall? 2.To make students listen ,read and write the words: young , old,beautiful ,clever and thin. 能力目标： 1.Through listening, reading, role play, making dialogues students can listen，read and act out the dialogues even to recite the context. 2.Through learning the whole text ,we can let the students write a little composition about themselves according to their learning in the class. 情感目标： Let students help each other. 教学重点： To make students use the sentence: Is she tall? Yes ,she is. 教学难点： The usage of “from”. 教具准备: PPT，books, teaching tools. 教学流程：

一． Warming up 1 .Grettings. 2.Let’s chant. 3.Free talk. 二.Presentation and drill. 1.Show a picture of an old man ,then asks:”Is he old ?”Make Ss understand “old” and help them answer “Yes, he is.” 2.Teach Ss to read the sentence” Is he old?”“Yes, he is.” in a right tone. then say：“Is he young?”(help Ss to understand “young”. Ss : “No ,he isn’t. 3.Find a lovely girl then say :”Look, she is a beautiful girl .She is thin.” 4 .Ss read after Teacher. 5. Practise reading with “Low-loud Voice”(If the teacher reads in a low voice ,Ss are asked to read in a loud voice, and if the teacher reads a word in a loud voice, Ss read in a low voice.) 6. The teacher points to a certain girl, asking: What’s her name? Ss: She is… T: Is she thin\young\old \tall\beautiful? Ss: Yes, she is./No, she isn’t 7.T plays PPT, showing the picture of Helen(Or shows the card with the picture of Helen) T：I have a new friend，What’s her name？

Ss：Helen T：Where is she from？ Ss：She is from the UK. T: Is she tall?
