教具准备
1.单词卡片:
(1)新词meter,fast,try等卡片。
(2)词组Sports Day,play basketball,play football,ride a bike,do high jump, do long jump等卡片。
2.跑步、跳高、跳远等运动项目的图片和学校运动会的图片。
3.课文三幅图片和Peter,Julia,Yang Ming的头像。
4.录音机或教学光盘。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming up 1.Greetings. T: Class begins.Good morning, it’s so nice to see you. Now sit down, please. 2.Say a chant:A New T-shirt . T: Do you like chant? OK, let’s say a chant. Show me your hands and follow me. Let’s go. 3.教师出示学校运动会的图片说:“
Wow, there are so many pupils in the playground. Do you know why? Yes, we are going to have a Sports Day.So today our topic is Sports Day.”
Follow me, 揭示课题并板书:Unit 5 Sports Day Part A。
4.Learn “Sports Day, have a Sports Day, we are going to have a Sports Day”,并出示sports和sports shoes,区别它们的音和义。
T: Look, sports. What are these? They’re sports shoes. What about this? Yes, Sports
Day, have a Sports Day, we are going to have a Sports Day. 5.评价机制:Today we’re going to have a Sports Day. So today there is a competition between boys and girls. Boys are basketball players team, and girls are swimmers team, OK? Let’s see which team have more good players. Are you ready, players? Let’s go.
Step 2 Review 复习词组play basketball,play football,play ping pong, ride a bike,swim,run,jump等。
1.Game: Quick response. T:Do you like game? Let’ play a game. Boys, girls, are you ready? Let’s begin. 2.Game-- Look and say. T: My children, this time let’s look and say.

Step 3 Presentation (一)初步感知课文内容
1.T: “The pupils are going to have a Sports Day.What will they do on Sports Day?”

3. Check the answers. (二)教学单词meter,fast和词组run 100 meters,do high jump,do long jump 1.PPT展示,根据me和sisiter 导出
meter。“This is one meter.”出示单词卡片meter,并教学操练。请学生举一反三说出two meters,100 meters等。注意提醒学生这些meter后需加--s表示复数。
2.教师出示一百米跑图片,教学词组run 100 meters。
3.教师出示跳远和跳高的图片,教学词组do long jump和do high jump。
(1)先复习jump,图片导入。
(2)操练
4.学唱歌曲:High Jump and Long Jump。
(1)教师领读歌词,并根据歌词意思做相应的动作。
(2)教师播放歌曲录音,与学生一起边听边做动作。
5.游戏——快速反应。
游戏规则:反应最快、最准确的学生,给他们各自所在的小组加分。
(三)教学句型Who will…? I will.
1.教师在黑板上的表格中板书Who will(见下面的表格)并提问:“Who will run 100 meters? Who will do long jump? Who will do high jump? Let’s watch the video again.”

take photos for our class 2.教师再次播放课文录音或CD-ROM,引导学生找出答案。
3.教师根据学生的回答,将Peter,Julia,Yang Ming, Sally的头像贴在问句旁边,并板书答句:I will. 4.采用不同的方法操练上面的三个问句及其答句。
(四)熟读对话,并教学单词fast和
try。
1.熟读第一段对话,并教学单词fast。
(1)教师出示课文第一幅图,并播放录音,学生模仿跟读。
(2)在黑板上Peter头像的后面板书very fast并教学。
(3)出示单词slow,复习巩固fast与slow的用法,如:You can run very fast.You can‘t run fast.You are slow. 2.熟读第二段对话,并教学单词try。
(1)教师出示课文的第二幅图,并播放录音,学生模仿跟读。
(2)出示句子I will try.教学单词try,并板书在Julia头像的后面。
(3)出示下列句子,请学生读一读,巩固try的用法。
I will try. I will try my best. She will try. Let me try. Have a try. …
3.熟读第三段对话。
(1)教师出示课文的第三幅图说:“Yang Ming will do high jump.What about Sally? ”
(2)学生自读第三段对话,在对话中找出相关的句子“I will take photos for our class.” 教师说:“She will take photos for her class.”
(3)教师播放录音,学生模仿跟读。
4.教师再播放课文录音或CD-ROM二次,采用模仿跟读,齐读巩固对话内容。
5.请学生根据板书内容,复述课文内容。

1.根据所给词组,进行Ask and answer。
请学生两人合作,完成对话练习。当学生使用新学词组,可加分。
2.完成课本第37页的Ask and answer.。
教师播放录音,学生模仿跟读。
Step 4 Extension 综合活动:小调查
1.出示校运动会的图片,告诉学生今年校运动会即将举行的时间,请学生在作业纸上写一写自己在运动会上将要参加的项目或将要做的事。
2.将学生分为4人一小组,每组推荐一位调查员,利用本节课所学的知识采访组员运动会上将要参加的项目,并完成运动会报名表。如:

2.请个别学生上台汇报本组的报名情况。

Step 6 Homework 1.听课文录音,模仿并熟读课文。
